The story is amazing, great post-apocalyptic series. Each book in the series keeps you interested and wanting more. Having a female & male read the respected parts throughout the book was a great idea. Completely made the series better. I truly enjoyed the fact that each book in the series was exciting in its own way. Highly recommend this entertaining series.

Thanks to Connor, Lev, and Risa—and their high-profile revolt at Happy Jack Harvest Camp—people can no longer turn a blind eye to unwinding. Ridding society of troublesome teens while simultaneously providing much-needed tissues for transplant might be convenient, but its morality has finally been brought into question. However, unwinding has become big business, and there are powerful political and corporate interests that want to see it not only continue, but also expand.

I am so glad that I decided to get this book. I'm getting the 2nd installment as soon as I am finished writing this review. What makes a great book, is one that makes you feel, one that makes you think. This story line is definitely different, but different is good. The thought of being able to be Unwound (aborted) as an option for parents to do to their children is ridiculous, however I remember myself at the ages of 13-17 and I truly think my mom would have probably chosen unwinding for me! This story will bring tears to your eyes more than once. There's courage, hate, love, hope, disappointment, and heros in the most unlikely of people. The touch of the ending (which I won't reveal) is perfect!

I listened to both books in thus series and my only disappointment is that I have to wait for the next installment!
I'm an adult but I enjoy a lot of the YA novels. With that being said, this book offers much more than a fantasy sci-fi love story, it offers lessons in love & forgiveness. It embraces a change from starting off 1 way then changing to become a better person. The fight for the soul of Tenley (Ten) Lockwood is how the story begins. There's a 1st life, a second life then a third in The Rest. Tenley falls for bad boy Killian Flynn. The storyline between the two is one of the best in YA I've come across. The narration is top notch! Definitely a fantastic story and I highly recommend it!

Maddie can see death dates & the story twirls you through her life and the way its read to you as someone telling you everything their going through. It's read to you instead of at you. I liked the story however my rating was due to..... 1. Overall it had a good baseline but 3/4 through the story it starting dragging slightly by searching for Margo, the next door high school hottie to the nerdy high school type. 2. The performance was actually really good except for the girl readings. He doesn't quite do the female parts that great if at all. 3. Story has a way of being realistic, you could imagine it being a nonfiction story. I personally like YA reads and this one is above average and I would recommend it.

They've created enough colonies so humanity shouldn't go extinct. But political squabbles have a bad habit of dying hard, and the Brazilian probes are still trying to take out the competition. And the Bobs have picked a fight with an older, more powerful species with a large appetite and a short temper.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a complete fantasy futuristic infatuation sci-fi story. It's a YA type genre but I still really enjoyed the entirety of these novels! Great listen and even though the narrative wasn't great for the female parts, the way he read the story compared to the speaking of the characters was well done. Your able to eventual get over the not so good woman narrative.
