When the obituary of legendary computer game architect Matthew Sobol appears online, a previously dormant daemon activates, initiating a chain of events that begins to unravel our interconnected world. This daemon reads news headlines, recruits human followers, and orders assassinations. With Sobol’s secrets buried with him, and as new layers of his daemon are unleashed, it’s up to Detective Peter Sebeck to stop a self-replicating virtual killer before it achieves its ultimate purpose - one that goes far beyond anything Sebeck could have imagined.

Daniel Suarez did a great job creating the characters and describing the daemon. The plot kept turning and I wanted more. Jeff Gurner did a great job bringing the characters to life I really enjoy his narration.

Don't hesitate to get this book, it is well worth it!

In this faced paced novel, Race Cargill, had at one time been the best Terran Intelligence agent on the complex and mysterious planet of Wolf. He had repeatedly imperiled his life amongst the half-human and non-human creatures of that sullen world and he had repeatedly accomplished the fantastic missions until his name was emblazoned with glory.

The story went nowhere, barely any character development. Completely bland not worth buying.

The narrator sucks! He has no emotion I had no idea when he was changing paragraphs! A love scene had the same emotion as a fight scene. Common if you're going to read fiction use some emotion! Stick to your day job selling hot dogs on the corner.

The artifact is found seven miles below the surface of the sea and beneath 40 more feet of sand. The Navy's efforts to raise a wrecked submarine uncover it - and set in motion a scientific race to retrieve it, to discover just what it is and where it came from. Denser than any substance known to man, it has broken every drill bit they've tried on it and will not budge an inch. It resists every effort to breach it - or communicate with it.

Good book but...

This was a good story although I wasn't sure if I was reading an erotic novel or a sci-fi book at times. This book isn't for the young readers it deals with some adult situations that wasn't mentioned. But in the end the story was very good I highly recommend.
