i became part of the story. it is a hard story to listen too. this time in our history was so brutal and Hitler's war devastated so many lives, including the Germans. highly recommend. the narrator was exceptional.

what is it like for a young black mother from California to move to Southern Louisiana to build a cane farm? This is her story. Hard work, bigotry, family, tragedy, frustration, friends and love. the narrator is excellent. highly recommend.

Michelle Obama tells her story with grace, humor and honesty. Even if you didn't support her husband, this is a story of someone who had a great support system and a belief in herself to achieve her own identity. I recommend this to all women

I love audibles especially when the narrator brings the characters alive as happened in this book. not many books make be cry but this one did even though the ending was not. you will feel yourself as Kaya did and know the marshes and town. I highly recommend.

Al Franken, you give me hope about politics and the corrosive environment that Trump has brought to our Presidency, cabinet and Congress. It gives me heart to know there are still those like you that entered politics to help your constituents and not for power, recognition or wealth. Thank you for being there, and thank you for this book .

after listening to this book I felt good and wanted to listen again. Like with Hurricane Harvey, we all pull together to help each other. this book also embodies that principle. i loved this audible and it was told so wonderfully.
