In her memoir, a work of deep reflection and mesmerizing storytelling, Michelle Obama invites listeners into her world, chronicling the experiences that have shaped her - from her childhood on the South Side of Chicago to her years as an executive balancing the demands of motherhood and work to her time spent at the world's most famous address. With unerring honesty and lively wit, she describes her triumphs and her disappointments, both public and private, telling her full story as she has lived it - in her own words and on her own terms.

I loved the video of Oprah & Michelle. Especially the openness about the relationship with Barack and her. Great her stand on therapy. Great stories which you can hear in the tv show. However after a while it repeats itself and she is SO PERFECT it is hard to be believable and slowly becomes boring. Last 25% I finished it. She does not talk about policy at all, mistakes and not made at all by her or her husband. Her voice is great and in the first 10 chapters I loved it but after 20 chapters her voice felt flat.

So if they book could be more about policy, problems trying to reach her goals, a little less perfect and 50% shorter..it would be perfect. She is a great women!

Hillary Rodham Clinton's inside account of the crises, choices, and challenges she faced during her four years as America's 67th Secretary of State, and how those experiences drive her view of the future. In the aftermath of her 2008 presidential run, she expected to return to representing New York in the United States Senate. To her surprise, her former rival for the Democratic Party nomination, newly elected President Barack Obama, asked her to serve in his administration as Secretary of State. This memoir is the story of the four extraordinary and historic years that followed.

Would you consider the audio edition of Hard Choices to be better than the print version?

The first 2 chapters are read by Hillary herself which makes it personal. The rest is Kathleen which is fine after a chapter or two. Nice to listen too. Insight in international policy, Libya, birma. You get a feel how important Hillary find human GLBT and children rights. Not a very self critical book, would be nice if she was a little but more venerable. She is now strong without a flaw. But she had been attacked enought to allow herself to do this.
