Some of these blogs gave me the feeling that Paul H Dunn had a part... (hard to believe that one person could experience all these events. True that each event probably happened, just all to one person? If so then WOW), others were faith promoting and very good for the soul.

It was the last peace, the great peace, the deep breath before the storm. The Golden Age was closing and the heavens paused and waited for the long plunge ahead. Some people saw it coming. But they were few. The first episode of this geopolitical thriller sets up the start of an epic battle between Light and Darkness. Taking listeners from Saudi Arabia to Israel to Washington D.C. and Chicago, Wrath & Righteousness is a frightening, torn-from-the-headlines peek into the future.

This makes my top 10 of all time. I’m nearly 44 years old, male, 4 kids and in professional sales. I enjoy realistic apocalypse books, Old Tom Clancy on the realistic side and Dirk Pitt on the other far extreme. This book was well written and performance was flawless. I really enjoyed the characters and the “Spiritual/Religious” monologue we’re actually quite refreshing. As I somehow believe it may be very much like as the author suggests. I loved the strong family relationships and loyalties to God and country.
I just wish there were more to read here. Funny I miss the relationships I made with the characters.
Worth the time. Wish it was longer. :-)

Great book.
Great dictation and clear delivery.

I'm not really a professional sports fan but I did have the pleasure of living in the Bay Area during the Montana~Young years. So gaining some perspective and behind the curtain viewpoint of one of the greatest QB's of all time I felt would be great to hear.

This book did not disappoint.

I actually found my self of the edge of my seat re-living those most special games... and actually rooting for the 49ers and steve all over again.

Also great to learn (hear again) that there is no such thing as a charmed life with uber success. All professional athletes or people of affluence should read this book and use as a yard stick to gauge their contributions to society. We all can do our part great or small.

Just like in the book "Outliers", Steve was no exception. He had his 10,000 hours, but add to the fact; he leveraged his emotional/personal challenges and overcame in remarkable fashion.

No free ride in life....But it is great to be Steve. He made some amazing choices... The quote comes to mind... 'Absolute power tends to corrupt absolutely'... great to see that's not absolutely always true. Gentleman QB should have been the title. I'm sure his wife would agree :-)
He obviously earned every yard in life and great to see he has not or did not squander opportunity.

Sports fan or not... this book is for all persons.

>In 1945, after his capture at the end of the Second World War, Hermann Göring arrived at an American-run detention center in war-torn Luxembourg, accompanied by 16 suitcases and a red hatbox. The suitcases contained all manner of paraphernalia: medals, gems, two cigar cutters, silk underwear, a hot water bottle, and the equivalent of $100,000,000 in cash. Hidden in a coffee can, a set of brass vials housed glass capsules containing a clear liquid and a white precipitate: potassium cyanide. Joining Göring in the detention center were the elite of the captured Nazi regime....

Didn't have large expectations for this book...But I was pleasantly surprised and decidedly looked forward to each time I could listen to a section.
Reader was excellent... Minus a half dozen (corrected name pronunciations which would be production issues), I'll look for the reader again.
Good book. What an amazing / crazy time and place to be... At Nuremberg.

Higher, farther, faster - what every real aviator aspires to. The SR-71 was the epitome of this dream for three decades. The only way to beat the SR-71 was to rocket into space, and every astronaut in the office with me in the 1960s would have loved to have flown the Blackbird. In many ways it placed greater demand on piloting proficiency than any spacecraft.

Morten Storm was an unlikely Jihadi. A six-foot-one red-haired Dane, Storm spent his teens in and out of trouble. A book about the Prophet Mohammed prompted his conversion to Islam, and Storm sought purpose in a community of believers. He attended a militant madrasah in Yemen, named his son Osama, and became close friends with Anwar al-Awlaki, the American-born terrorist cleric. But after a decade of Jihadi life, he not only repudiated extremism but, in a quest for atonement, became a double agent for the CIA and British and Danish intelligence.

Bill Bryson and his family live in a Victorian parsonage in a part of England where nothing of any great significance has happened since the Romans decamped. Yet one day, he began to consider how very little he knew about the ordinary things of life as he found it in that comfortable home. To remedy this, he formed the idea of journeying about his house from room to room to “write a history of the world without leaving home.”
