All the characters sound the same, hard to figure out who is speaking. Plus they all sound like they are in middle school. The story might turn out ok but I'm not spending any more money on the next book. No character development in book one.

I would recommend everyone should start with book one and take the trip with Raven and Christian. I really hope Dannika has plans to tell us more, I crave it!

When I found myself facing down the scariest black-magic felon in the city, practically daring him to abduct me, I had to wonder exactly how I ended up here. It all started when I accidentally landed a job as a bartender - but not at a bar. At a guild, populated by mages, sorcerers, alchemists, witches, and psychics. Good thing this lame-o human is adaptable, right? Then my favorite guild members - three sexy, powerful, and intermittently charming mages - asked for my help.

Broke, almost homeless, and recently fired. Those are my official reasons for answering a wanted ad for a skeevy-looking bartender gig. It went downhill the moment they asked me to do a trial shift instead of an interview - to see if I'd mesh with their "special" clientele. I think that part went great. Their customers were complete dickheads, and I was an asshole right back. That's the definition of fitting in, right? I expected to get thrown out on my ass. Instead, they...offered me the job? It turns out this place isn't a bar. It's a guild.

What made the experience of listening to Whiskey Witches Series: Books 0-4 the most enjoyable?

Never a dull moment, story keeps you wanting more. Narrator wants to pull you into the story.

Did the plot keep you on the edge of your seat? How?

Oh ya!!

Have you listened to any of Kalinda Little’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

No she is awesome, at first I wasn't sure but once the story developed her voice told the story.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

Both laughed and cried, it was an emotional adventure.

Any additional comments?

I can't wait to see what comes next, there are many unfinished stories that would make for very interesting stories. Next generation stories as well. Very good book!

Kat Dubois is immortal, and she's retired. She's long since hung up her sword and left assassinating immortals to someone else...anyone else. She's now a hard drinking, sass-flinging Seattle tattoo artist with the innate ability to read people's fortunes using her charmed deck of tarot cards. Her days of bloodshed are over, and she has nothing but time - an eternity, in fact - to hide from her past. Until someone from her past shows up on her doorstep with news that her beloved older brother and mentor, Dominic, has gone missing.

I killed a girl last night. I did it with my bare hands and an old piece of pipe I found lying next to the dumpster. But that's not the part that got me. The part that scared me, the part I can't seem to wrap my head around and still has me reeling, was that when she charged me, her body shifted - and then she was a wolf. All snapping teeth and extended claws.

Would you consider the audio edition of Dirty Blood Series Box Set to be better than the print version?

Not read.

What was the most interesting aspect of this story? The least interesting?

Undecided in book one still have the rest of the series to go. So far The characters need to develop more.

What about Kelly Pruner’s performance did you like?

Very theatrical, I liked it.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

Not really.

Any additional comments?

Made it through book one, it started off slow and very reminiscent of Buffy the vampire slayer season one, yes I was a fan, but it was 20 years ago and I was a lot younger. I need to pay more attention on the ages portrayed. During the chapter I got hints of Bitten and bits of Elena Michaels starting to emerge. All in all it is ok enough for me to continue on to book two. Hopefully the Buffy/Bitten baby will develop it's own personality. I'll keep in touch!
