Margot Cary has spent her life immersed in everything Lake Sackett is not. As an elite event planner, Margot's rubbed elbows with the cream of Chicago society and made elegance and glamour her business. She's riding high until one event goes tragically, spectacularly wrong. Now she's blackballed by the gala set and in dire need of a fresh start - and apparently the McCreadys are in need of an event planner with a tarnished reputation.

Amanda Rinconi is the PERFECT voice for Molly Harper stories. I've read most of the books from this author. Honestly I expected a story similar to "One Last Thing." (I may be wrong on this title) which was hilarious! This one was not quite as good, although Margo was a good character. I think maybe the story could have been flushed out a little more because my gut tells me it was really just the surface. I still enjoyed reading it. It just took me a little longer. I will continue to look for more Molly Harper and Amanda Rinconi books. That is a good pair to keep together.

I have read all of the Ten Beach Road Series plus a few others from Wendy Wax. I believe I enjoyed this book the most out of all of them! This was really good. There was a shocking and suspenseful plot twist that I didn't expect at all. I almost feel like I know Maddie, Nikki, Kira and Avery and Dustin, who is growing up. I am curious to see how she will twist a story around him! I am also glad that the same narrator has been consistent through all the stories. I don't know if I could picture the same story line now with anyone different. I would also like to note that I met Wendy Wax personally at a book signing in Sarasota. She is just as nice of a person as she is talented a writer. Ms. Wax, you are a talented writer. This book is a great beach read and I was able to escape into the story. It was great to relate to the locations because I live here and I know the area that is described in this book. I hope Wendy Wax continues this series.

What made the experience of listening to The Guests on South Battery the most enjoyable?

I really enjoy this series. I like the genre- paranormal mixed with mystery. I've read this whole series, and I have it in my audible collection. Melanie seems a little more retentive in this book, but I still like plot. I feel as though I've gotten to know the characters. It would be interesting if a book was written from Nola's pt. of view.

What was one of the most memorable moments of The Guests on South Battery?

The doll at the Pinkney house gave me the creeps. My mom has a skater doll from the 40's that I pictured in my mind. The doll's face has a crack in it. Old dolls are creepy.

Which scene was your favorite?

I just got a chuckle over her "thing" with shoes.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

I listen to it before I go to bed, when I don't want the TV lights burning my eyes.

Any additional comments?

I hope Karen White write more of the Tradd Street series. I look forward to them.

I've read the entire Ten Beach Road Series. I've come to know the characters and I really like the story line.

Who was your favorite character and why?

I think I like Madeline Singer the best, as she seems to hold all the other characters together. it would be interesting to see a story with just Maddy and Will or Nikki and Joe. I could really see a spin off there.

Which character – as performed by Amy Rubinate – was your favorite?

I like all of them.Amy Rubinate does a really good job discriminating between characters.

If you could take any character from One Good Thing out to dinner, who would it be and why?

Madeline Singer

This is a really good series. I enjoy the story line. I can relate to all the area as I live here.

After losing their life savings in a Ponzi scheme, Maddie, Avery, and Nikki have banded together to make the most of what they have left, using their determination, ingenuity, and guts - and a large dose of elbow grease. It's Maddie's daughter, Kyra, who stumbles across a once glorious beachfront hotel that has fallen into disrepair. The opportunity to renovate this seaside jewel is too good to pass up - especially when they come up with the idea of shooting their own independent television show about the restoration.

Your Soul's Plan (which was originally published under the title Courageous Souls: Do We Plan Our Life Challenges Before Birth?) explores the premise that we are all eternal souls who plan our lives, including our greatest challenges, before we are born for the purpose of spiritual growth. Through compelling profiles of people who knowingly planned the experiences mentioned above, Your Soul's Plan shows that suffering is not purposeless, but rather imbued with deep meaning.

Where does The House on Mermaid Point rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

All of Wendy Wax's books are great reads, especially for relaxing or sitting at the beach.

What did you like best about this story?

This book is fourth (I believe) in the Ten Beach Road Series. I've read them all, and I like getting to know the back stories of all the characters. I lived in the Atlanta and I'm now back in Florida. I can relate to the places Wendy refers to in her books.

What about Amy Rubinate’s performance did you like?

I've grown accustomed to Rubinate's voice with this particular series. I think I would be thrown off it this book had been read by somebody else. She is the voice of these characters.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

No, I was just anxious to see what would happen to the 4 women and to the house. I was looking forward to the description of the house they'd be fixing up this time and who the owner was. I LOVED Max from the last book.

Any additional comments?

I would recommend any of Wendy Wax's books. She is a consistently great writer and I really enjoy her style. She is one of the very few authors that I have stayed faithful in reading all of her books. She is just as nice in person.

Lacey Terwilliger's shock and humiliation over her husband's philandering prompt her to add some bonus material to Mike's company newsletter: stunning Technicolor descriptions of the special brand of "administrative support" his receptionist gives him.
