After decades spent out of the limelight, Owen Daniels has decided to take up the mantle of Titan once again to try and make amends for his years away. Unfortunately, the Titan Scandal is still common knowledge, and no Hero team wants such a polarizing figure.

this book was great, just like all the others from Drew Hayes I've read/listened to so far. I love all the new characters, their personalities, and the vivid world you paint them in. I had a lot of fun listening to this story, except fo one part in particular. there was absolutely no need for the romance stuff, it was weird and completely out of place. I actually considered skipping to the end of the chapter it was so awkward. otherwise great, so stay on track and write what you're good at Hayes, let others handle the romance stuff, just keep doing what you're good at!

New York is one of the most popular convention destinations in the world - for humans and supernaturals. Every hundred years, rulers of the world's supernatural races come together to negotiate and renew a peace treaty. Meeting in the same hotel are the governors of our world's goblin and elf colonies. SPI is saddled with the security nightmare of keeping the living delegates alive and the undead delegates from becoming permanently deceased. We've got our work cut out for us.

So far I had enjoyed the series, but this one SUCKED. I feel like it was one of those episodes that adds nothing to the plot or story line. And on top of that our heroine caves at the end, and gives in to her boyfriend. So miss perfect shot has to be saved by the 'big strong' guy😝. Why bother to have her as a main character if she can't be self-reliant, and take care of herself every once in awhile.

Knowledge is power. That would be the motto of Lander University, had it not been snatched up and used to death by others long before the school was founded. For while Lander offers a full range of courses to nearly all students, it also offers a small number of specialty classes to a very select few. Lander is home to the Hero Certification Program, a curriculum designed to develop students with superhuman capabilities, commonly known as Supers, into official Heroes.

omg the beginning was terrible! I thought 'Oh this is why the book was on sale' so I stopped listening for a while. Then I got stuck without WiFi, and hate downloading on data, so I gave this book a second chance... and it was worth it! The beginning jumps around, goes way too into detail, and drags everything out. But then later on the main character comes out as a sarcastic, snarky, perverted (a little slow at times) bastard... and it's great. moral of the story, don't give up, tough it out, or just skip ahead a little.

The agents of Supernatural Protection & Investigations (SPI) are paid to keep the peace. But that's not so easy when an endless evil threatens to tear that peace to pieces. A vampire gangster's nephew is abducted off his yacht by a bunch of low-rent Creatures from the Black Lagoon. A slew of banks are knocked over by what looks like the cast of Night of the Living Dead. All of this may seem like the movies, but, I promise you, it's not.

I was driven half crazy in the beginning before she named the villain, and therefore felt the need to over describe him over and over. She also pronounces the word Kraken wrong. I also have a pet peeve about characters (detectives, CSI, etc) not being good at their jobs, and the main character sucks at her job. I really lost interest in this book early on.

Mostly predictable smutty romance, with a few surprises. Good story, some action, with some cute parts, and a fair amount of smut. I understand the complaints on other reviews about the vernacular. The language was hard to bear in so parts, and some was lost in translation. The turns of phrase can be difficult, but you can get the gist.

I found an envelope in the mail. No return address. My name on the front, my address. Inside was a check, made out to me, in the amount of 10 thousand dollars. Enough to pay the bills and leave me some left over to live on until I found a job. Enough to let me focus on classes. There was no name on the check, just "VRI Inc.", and a post office box address for somewhere in the city. No hint of identity or reason for the check or anything. No mention of repayment, interest, nothing...except a single word, on the notes line: "You." Just those three letters.

I enjoy smut books as much as the next girl, but hated this one. The main female character was just ridiculous. She constantly flip flopped, and just was frustrating to me. I couldn't get over her decisions or reactions. So finally around chapter 9, I gave up on the book. I did this rather than screaming at every completely unrealistic/incomprehensible thing she did or said.
