On a night flight from London to Boston, Ted Severson meets the stunning and mysterious Lily Kintner. Sharing one too many martinis, the strangers begin to play a game of truth, revealing very intimate details about themselves. Ted talks about his marriage that's going stale and his wife, Miranda, who he's sure is cheating on him. Ted and his wife were a mismatch from the start - he the rich businessman, she the artistic free spirit - a contrast that once inflamed their passion but has now become a cliché.

Carl Weber is a New York Times best-selling author who’s made a name for himself with wildly entertaining works marked by his trademark wit and storytelling panache. In The Choir Director, Bishop T.K. Wilson is banking on dynamic new choir director Anthony Mackie to reverse the failing congregation’s fortunes. But while Anthony’s got more than enough chops to raise a heavenly chorus, he’s also got a weakness for the ladies that could make the Devil himself stand up and take notice.

laugh

Any additional comments?

I enjoyed this book. It had a good story that allowed you to try to figure out who did it and why. I dont look at these books as being "spiritual" so if thats what your looking for go to that section. This is fiction and its good fiction. I enjoyed it...

What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?

AN ACTUAL STORY to go along with the unrealistic amount of sex sex sex..

Has Something on the Side turned you off from other books in this genre?

no

Did the narration match the pace of the story?

yes

What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?

disappointment

Any additional comments?

I was disappointed as there was no true story line. At least not one that was worth listening to. I feel I wasted a credit. I enjoyed his book choir director and even with the sex in it, it had a story to tell. This is basically just a bunch of sex w/ no real story. 2 thumbs down and I need Carl Weber to give me a credit back,
