In Shaker Heights, a placid, progressive suburb of Cleveland, everything is planned - from the layout of the winding roads to the colors of the houses to the successful lives its residents will go on to lead. And no one embodies this spirit more than Elena Richardson, whose guiding principle is playing by the rules. Enter Mia Warren - an enigmatic artist and single mother - who arrives in this idyllic bubble with her teenage daughter, Pearl, and rents a house from the Richardsons.

Is real friendship too risky? We live in a world where real friendship is hard to find. Suspicious of others and insecure about ourselves, we retreat into the safety of our small, self-made digital worlds. Tragically, even the church can become a place that reinforces this isolation. Jesus models a much richer vision of friendship. Scott Sauls, pastor and teacher, invites you to see the breadth of Christ's love in this audiobook, Befriend.

I love books by Scott Sauls. This one has a message we all need to hear.
the narrator is good, but I recommend putting him on 1.5 speed.

Like every other hobbit, Bilbo Baggins likes nothing better than a quiet evening in his snug hole in the ground, dining on a sumptuous dinner in front of a fire. But when a wandering wizard captivates him with tales of the unknown, Bilbo becomes restless. Soon he joins the wizard’s band of homeless dwarves in search of giant spiders, savage wolves, and other dangers. Bilbo quickly tires of the quest for adventure and longs for the security of his familiar home. But before he can return to his life of comfort, he must face the greatest threat of all.

Would you consider the audio edition of The Hobbit to be better than the print version?

The Hobbit is a delightful story, and the narrator's soothing voice is simply wonderful to listen too. I loved hearing all the songs sung, it made the story even better than when I read it years ago. All of this makes the book better to listen to than to read.

What did you like best about this story?

My favorite thing about this book is Bilbo Baggins. I love the hobbits in all the books. I find myself wanting to sit by the fire and have tea with him and gandalf.

Which scene was your favorite?

I cant possibly pick just one scene as my favorite! The whole book is magical.
