This is one of my favorite Pride and Prejudice stories. I wasn't sure if I was going to like all the wartime involvement but I was quickly drawn in. So much so that I finished the book in one day and was sad when it came to an end. The icing on the cake was Stevie' Zimmerman as narrator. She's my favorite!

I steered clear of this story because I didn't like the goofy photo. I'm so glad I finally bought it. It was such an original story yet included several of the original characters. There were several times when I laughed out loud. Be sure to have a Kleenex for the end. I think it's the most touching I've heard.

After passing over this story for almost a year due to the brief information provided by the publisher and a story about a flood didn't draw me in, I finally decided to buy it. I'm so glad I did. It's one of my favorite stories. There was so much going on including different locations, various characters and many plot twists. I won't elaborate any more so as not to take away from another reader's enjoyment. Enjoy the ride!

The narrator wasn't my favorite but after I got into the story I barely noticed.

I really loved this story. There were many twists and turns and new characters to meet. It was interesting to watch Darcy change his opinions about the upper class as the story progressed. This was a long story but I felt was well worth the time. Because of its length there was time to get to know the all the characters . I enjoyed the closure at the end. The narration was very enjoyable which helped me get lost in the story. I was decorating my house for Christmas as I listened. I've already made a plan to listen to this story again next December.

In this amorous, provocative, and at times tumultuous "what-if" story, Mr. Darcy is a wealthy young man of sense and education, with considerable worldly experience - not at all uncommon for Regency-era gentlemen of his social standing. He is his own master. He enjoys his situation and has no particular desire to marry at all. Darcy's world is turned inside out when he renews his acquaintance with Miss Elizabeth Bennet - her own circumstances considerably diminished pursuant to the sudden and tragic death of her father.

How do Fitzwilliam Darcy and Elizabeth Bennet overcome the consequences of poor decisions made by their fathers when Darcy and Elizabeth were young? In A Father's Sins, Mr. George Darcy, father of an illegitimate child raised by his steward, Mr. Wickham, agreed with his wife, Anne, that the firstborn son of their marriage would be heir to Pemberley. However, Mr. Darcy loved his eldest son, George Wickham, and indulged him by bringing him to Pemberley to live after the death of his wife.
