Great action, good voices, the first female character is sort of annoyingly voiced. Other female characters (same narrator) are awesome.
It was slow and depressing to begin with but the story pics up. In complexity it's ya, but gore and mature themes kills that. The fights were great, the story arc is fun, and it has a happy ending.

I dislike lirpg that focus to much on the main characters "life". This book has the the perfect balance. The reasons and motivasions of the character had me crying in delight as a laughed with joy at the ending. Though not my favorite, this probably falls into young adult fiction. Don't let that stop you from listening, and if it's your niche; please download it.

Great book, the 1st one is a little short, but the the rest of the series makes up for it by the bucket load

The book was enjoyable. The, ain characters are obviously supposed to be powerful, but they come of as insipid. The dialog was good, and it's worth a listen.

e book is one big *trigger warning for physical abuse* the hero is training to be an elite warrior but is terrified of everyone. He falls victim to each and every bull, never coming out on top. The story is depressing and the main character has almost no growth. He is surrounded by a cast of amazing and interesting secondary characters, any of whom would have made a better focus. There are several glowing reviews, so I finished to see if there was an amazing ending. Nope. It's not even a complete story episode. It's just a part one, with no resolution, no growth. The story is just one boy learning to make friends, while trying not to pee himself at every confrontation. The writing is of good quality, the story is just really weak. I'd try a different book by the same author.
The narrator is excellent.

This is for super young YA readers. There is little to add beyond that. Are you over tales of "spot the dog" but not ready for "Harry Potter" ? Then this might be the book for you

The story had great promise. But never goes any where. All the power and potential was wasted on a predictable and dull conclusion

The voice acting was good. The story and tension were believable. Pacing was good. The addition of a sub theme for the characters transsexual plight in the real world, felt tacked on and at odds with the other elements of the story. Overall a good listen
