Amid the wreckage, Cork and Jenny discover an old trapper’s cabin where they find the body of a teenage girl. She wasn’t killed by the storm, however; she’d been bound and tortured before she died. I so enjoy this author and his writing style, and the way he develops the characters in his books. This is a good story with many things reflecting what is actually happening in our modern society. This story also addresses many peoples habit of jumping to conclusions without searching for the actual facts about things.

I felt this second book was very slow and plodding. Also felt story line was drawn out Way to long, with much to do about not much. If this is even near a possibly of the future after the people of the world almost destroy ourselves, I for one do not wish to live in it. A lot of Christian belief involved in this story which was depressing.

Alaska's Arctic National Wildlife Refuge, home to only a handful of people, is a harsh and lonely place. So when James Campbell's cousin Heimo Korth asked him to spend a summer building a cabin in the rugged Interior, Campbell hesitated about inviting his 15-year-old daughter, Aidan, to join him. Would she be able to withstand clouds of mosquitoes, the threat of grizzlies, bathing in an ice-cold river, and hours of grueling labor peeling and hauling logs? But once there, Aidan embraced the wild.
