Vicky thought when doing her three months farm work in QLD that the worst thing would be spiders and sunburn. She was wrong. A dark creature stalks the farm, brutally killing all who break the rules of nature and sin against the Earth. The spriggan has awoken and it won't sleep again til it has cleansed its grove. A fun, dark, and brutal tale of nature's bloody revenge on modern man and a chain smoker with a chainsaw.

I I would have like the story more if Vicky would have just let The Spriggan and Brie complete what they started. I guess this could have been considered a horror story, but I truly believe what mankind has done to Mother Nature is the true Horror story. Will gladly read more by this author!!

I listened to this book at the request of the author. It was a well written story and the characters were enjoyable. The story was very much like other necromancer type stories I have read or listened to. Though good it really did not have a Major grab that caused me to want to continue the series.

Starlyn loves her mother and desperately searches for any way to help her, yet it seems there is little she can do but sit and watch. Even the kheshlarn healers and herbalists are stunned and cannot find a way. Other kheshlars turn away from her aid, afraid of a weakness - an illness - in her bloodline, and would rather her mother die than taint the others with her weakness. Starlyn’s sister, Arria, refuses to sit and watch as their mother dies and takes more drastic measures to try and save their mother. She dives into the restricted books in the kheshlarn library about dark magic.
