This book wasn’t what I was expecting. I was thinking it would be some soft teen girl fluff piece ( which I also like) and was happily surprised to find depth and great strife. Moments of pure girlish giggles at some of the passages while others were so intense and well written dark I felt like I was listening to living nightmares. A wonderful ride.

If you could sum up Outlander in three words, what would they be?

Scottish, sex, and sex.

What did you like best about this story?

the premise was very creative and what drew me in. Main character was not a helpless simpleminded fool.

Which scene was your favorite?

Her killing the Wolf. Bad. Ass.

Any additional comments?

Holy hell sex book? That was not on the description at all. I am not into novella porn and this was basically that with a bit of story.

Is there anything you would change about this book?

The characters are not developed very well and very one-dimensional. The main character is continuously pathetic and cowering. Needing rescuing at every point and nothing but reactive and doesn't move the story forward at all.

Has The Iron King turned you off from other books in this genre?

Genre no, series.... yes.

Would you listen to another book narrated by Khristine Hvam?

Probably not. Her various voices were awkward and distracting rather then lending to the feel of the story.

Could you see The Iron King being made into a movie or a TV series? Who should the stars be?

Yes if the screen writer had the freedom to make the main character more interesting and less helpless. amanda seyfried would make a good megan.

What did you love best about The Dragons of Dorcastle?

I was more than happily surprised at the story of this book. The summary sounded only mildly interesting and it turned out to be fantastic! Characters are unique and well written, with great lengths of growth happening within the story. I'm more than ecstatic that this is part of a series, and rather sad though to have to wait for the sequels!

What other book might you compare The Dragons of Dorcastle to and why?

I don't even know, but this is definitely one of my new favorites.

What about MacLeod Andrews’s performance did you like?

The Narrator was phenomenal, no overdone outrageous and distracting silly voices but just the right changes to his inflection to denote changes in character that were believable.

Any additional comments?

This would make a wonderfully interesting, exciting and fun movie!

Voice performance was not engaging for me. Story like wise. Only towards the end did i start feeling interested in the origins of all the characters and that would be the only motivating factor to continue the series.

Great dialogues, inner and otherwise. Sufficiently scientific to be highly believable, yet dumbed down enough to not lose the reader.

What aspect of E. B. Stevens’s performance would you have changed?

Was not a fan of the narration style. Very much geared towards children and had a slightly annoying quality to his intonation.

Any additional comments?

The chapter/book beginning /end Music overlaying the speech was highly annoying.
