The Sea Wolf sets out to search for the Metal Islands. Leading the expedition is legendary Hell Diver Xavier Rodriguez. After enduring a decade on the poisoned surface, his survival skills will be put to the test on the dangerous open seas. But storms, sea monsters, and the cannibalistic Cazadores aren't the only threat to X and his small crew. Their mission will uncover hard truths about the history of the war that left humankind stranded in the air for centuries. The fate of those still living on the airships might very well rest on this perilous journey to find a new home.

I'm always reluctant to start a new book in this series...because every book thus far has been totally gripping and when it ends, I feel empty till the next one comes out. lol
book 4 did not disappoint... what a great series.
Now I click my sharpened teeth till the next one comes out.... ;)

The pirate crew of the Lady Luck lives by many rules, but chief among them is this: they do not allow men on board. That’s a rule that quartermaster Grace Porter is willing to break when a shipwrecked young nobleman offers her information of an omniscient map, stolen from his warship by an enemy vessel. Until now, the map was only the stuff of legend…but with its help, Grace may finally be able to hunt down the Mordgris, the sea monsters who stole her mother away from her. Unfortunately, some members of her crew have other plans...

I got this book in audiobook form in exchange for an honest review.

And I have to say, honestly, I really liked it.
I'm generally a sucker for things relating to pirates.. But, lady pirates?! A welcome change.
The story was interesting, the characters developed well and the narrator did a great job.

There were just a few plot quirks, but for the most part I totally enjoyed this and would happily listen to the next book.

Good job to all. ;)

I loved all the characters tremendously. lol
Of course, I don't think anyone could properly narrate Yahtzee's books but him. I wouldn't want anyone to try. His voice and delivery of his own words and timing are perfect.
Well done again sir.

A lot of Nick's life is something I can totally relate with. I love working with wood, metal and machines. I choose to treat humans around me with respect and I enjoy my life doing what makes me happy... or, as my job is concerned, at least is tolerable. lol
So many good things said in this book...
I love what Nick does and how he thinks.
If I ever get a chance to have a beer with him and chat about wood joints or grain patterns I would be a happy bro.
Keep on spreading the good word man.

For dinosaurs, it was a big rock. For humans: Coronal Mass Ejection (CME). When the Earth is hit by the greatest CME in recorded history (several times larger than the Carrington Event of 1859), the combined societies of the planet's most developed nations struggle to adapt to a life thrust back into the Dark Ages. In the United States, the military scrambles to speed the nation's recovery on multiple fronts including putting down riots, establishing relief camps, delivering medical aid, and bringing communication and travel back on line. Just as a real foothold is established in retaking the skies (utilizing existing commercial aircraft supplemented by military resources and ground control systems), a mysterious virus takes hold of the population, spreading globally over the very flight routes that the survivors fought so hard to rebuild.

Very good job here. Instantly engrossing and held my mind in suspense the whole time. Not the kind of suspense that makes your nerves stand on end... not all the time at least, but I just couldn't stop listening.
I couldn't say weather it was just the writing or the narrator....
Speaking of the narrator... Again, R.C. Bray is just the PERFECT human to tell this story. Ever-so-subtle inflections for different characters, perfect timing and just his voice alone we're perfect for this book.
Upon finishing this, I instantly went and bought book 2.

I like the writing style a lot and the narrator is great.

Fun, witty, funny and a different idea than what seems to be the "norm" of LITRPG books these days.
Granted, this is not a LITRPG, but, it has similarities to the story type.
There were some slow moments in this book but 92% very entertaining and fun. ;)

This was much better than I was expecting! well written and well narrated!

I was actually getting quite into it, then it ended and I remembered it was a short... I wanted it to be longer!

My only criticism is that it felt like a Prolog that should be followed by a book explaining a lot of things.. I was left with a bunch of questions.

Other than that, nice job!
