"This book was given to me for free at my request and I provided this voluntary review." I thought the story was very good, but I didn't really like the presentation The story takes place in London so you expect a British accent; but I thought it was over done and had a hard time understanding siome of the ldialogue. The story opens with a young girl leaving her child in a founding home; then jumps to five yers later whenn the young boy is picked up by his adoptive mothe, who hates hime at first sight and makes he life miserable. I really enjoyed the story, and hope to see a second book following this one. I believe you will enjoy it too.

This is a sweet romance, based on a Christmas Choir. Isabelle has been selected to join an all girls choir, giving a five week concert at a small church in a neighboring town. Since she has neveer been anywhere, she is looking forward to the time, but Alfred, her boy friend, doesn't want her to go. He is afraid that she will decide not to return. When she arrives she meets the pastor and finds that he is unmarried, and is very attracted to her. Having seperated from Alf with very unclear feelings, she finds herself attracted to John, the pastor. This is a good story and I found myself going back and forth trying to decide which man I wanted her to choose. I think lyou will enjoy this too.

Zoe is now 18 and wants to go to college, but finds she cannot attend the same college as her friend Alf, because she is half negro. How she handles this and still maintains a loving spirit makes for a great story.

I really enjoyed this book, but I thought that Hattie was't realistic about hler situation. Her Father had lost all his money and sent her west as a Mail Order Bride. From what I gathered she had no imput in it, yet every time she was down all she talked about was going home to New York. If my Father had dealt with me that way, I don't bellieve I would be in any rush to return. I did enjoy the fact that, although Hattie had to live in a saloon for a time, itt was still a clean book.
