After seeing he serveral times, he invited her to spend the day with on his yacht, in the Aegean Sea. They were having a delightful time until they were interupted by kidnappers. In the attempt, Alex was shot and Cassandra fell overboard. The kidnappers fled and Alex called for help. Although they searched they were unable to find Cassandra. This is a good story and I enjoyed it very much. Denise Kahn did a wonderful job a narrator and author.

I really enjoyed it and could see Cain's thoughts clearly, and feel the loss to Adam and Eve.I could lso see how Cain could have gone toward the land of Nod, but settled outside of it and built hlis own place, allowing for growth as the children came. I will check out book twio and see how l like it.

I love a good Highland story, and 'The Secret' is one of them. Julie Garwood has written a very good book, narrated by Susan Duerden. It features an unusual friendship between Judith Hampton [English] and Frances Katherine [Scottish], formed when they were 4 & 5 yrs old. They met every year during ther Highland Gamers, held near the Scottish border, and maintained their friendship through their growing years. When Frances Katherine was expectng her first child, she sent a message asking Juldilth to come to the Highlands to be with her during her delivery. Frances Katherine's mother and grandmother died from childbirth, and she feared she would also perish. When her band of protectors arrived they were astonished to find she was really going, and Judith had to use all her charm to convince them to take her with them.

Poppy Bridgerton is a restless young lady, never believing it unsafe for her to ditch her maid and go off alone to explore. After leaving her maid on a bench, Poppy explores the coastline and discovers a cave that peaks her curosity. Climbing inside she finds it is a smugglers hiding place. While looking around she suddenlly hears voices coming toward her. Unable to find a safe place to hide, Poppy leans back as far as possible hoping the shadow will keep her hidden. Unfortunatelly she is exacty where the smugglers are looking for boxes to carry with them and finds herself carried along, in a burlap bag. Julia Quinn has written a delightful 'kidnapped' story and is narrated wonderfully by Rosalyn Landor.
