I looked forward to this book throughout the pre-order only to find that I cared little or nothing if any of the characters survived. What a bunch of navel-gazing, narcissists.

So well written and presented. Crying is good for you and this will tear out your heart at the end.

Good story about an horrific time but there never was a "bad Jew" or a "good Christian". A bit more balance would have been nice. Npt everyone wanted to be a Zionist, some just wanted justice in their country of birth and for that should not have been so vilified. Andre was particularly obnoxious and could not see the terrible position into which the Judenrat had been forced. Having read and admired this book in my teens, I was surprised at the tone some 60 years later.

Similar feel to The Paris Architect. Narrator speaks a little quickly, but you easily adapt. Liked it very much, in fact, could not put it down.

Would you listen to The Egg again? Why?

Have listened to it already four times, and marvel at the insight.

What other book might you compare The Egg to and why?

Stranger in a Strange Land by Heinlen. Different points of philosophy.

Have you listened to any of R.C. Bray’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

Excellent

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

yes

Any additional comments?

Just overwhelmed by the thought-provoking view of the universe. I never wrote a review before, but could not let this pass.

A little more rambling than his other books. The subplots don't always seem to mesh together and don't keep your attention as well as, say, pulse and innocence game.

The narrator is superlative.

Would you listen to The Lost World again? Why?

The only similarity between the book and the picture is that there are dinosaurs, but the book has the more interesting plot. I would definitely listen to this book again, and have, because of Anthony Heald's wonderful narration. His voice is just perfect, with enough humour and wit.

What did you like best about this story?

It was fun and exciting, with a lot of tense moments.

Which character – as performed by Anthony Heald – was your favorite?

Ian Malcolm

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

When Levine decides not to rescue the children and gets his comuppance.

Would you listen to Mist in the Mirror again? Why?

No red herrings, thoroughly spooky. I liked the archaic language and the fact that nothing gave a clue to the ending.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Mist in the Mirror?

When he is locked in the tomb. I was terrified.

What about Matt Addis???s performance did you like?

Good voice, nice diction, excellent characterizations. He handles for formal language style with ease and lures you in.

Any additional comments?

Although I started reading Susan Hill for the Serrailler series (which is fabulous and one of my favourites) her other stories are equally addictive (except for Gullywith).
