In Eat Dirt, Dr. Axe explains that it's essential to get a little "dirty" in our daily lives in order to support our gut bacteria and prevent leaky gut syndrome. Dr. Axe offers simple ways to get these needed microbes, from incorporating local honey and bee pollen into your diet to forgoing hand sanitizers and even ingesting a little probiotic-rich soil.

The book was interesting, but I need an actual plan of action so that I can get started to repair my leaky gut. I take acid reflux medicine daily and I want to stop that. I want to feel better. I now feel informed but I need a guide line to put myself in action. I bought the leaky gut collagen, formula pills and leaky gut repair, as a special get started but I didn't get any good instructions. I guess I need to check the internet for more info.

Would you listen to Preparing for Surgery again? Why?

Yes, I would if I were going to have surgery again! Have highly recommended to friends.

What other book might you compare Preparing for Surgery to and why?

It is not a book it is a audible about guided imagery and affirmations, to meditate and prepare you for surgery.

Which character – as performed by Martin L. Rossman – was your favorite?

The voice was perfect for meditation

What’s an idea from the book that you will remember?

Guided imagery and affirmations for peace, control and healing... while preparing for a surgical procedure, the actual surgery, and the complete recovery.

Any additional comments?

Highly recommend the Health Journey's meditation self help series! My hip surgery went beautifully and the healing was comfortable and complete.

The narrative Is so beautifully done, love when she breaks into song. Very nice voice taking on the characters excellently. I really have a picture in my mind of how life was for the different people and classes during the civil war period. The characters really grow on you. you can't wait to hear about each. I am so happy to see good religious values and the reference to life situations. Love scenes are handle very appropriately, very refreshing compared to many other books of today. This is good wholesome reading. Cannot wait to start the book 4 in series.
