Full disclosure: Before we move forward with this email, I would like it to be known that I have consumed an adequate amount of alcoholic beverages to intoxicate myself tonight. Three margaritas, two shots, and one beer - because it was free. I think it's important to be open and honest with your coworkers, don't you? So here I am, being open and honest. Drunk but honest. Or just drunk with lust? You decide. I have a hopeless, foolish, schoolgirl crush on you when you are the last person on earth I should be falling for. Did you know people around the office call you a sadist?

I enjoyed this read. Initially, I thought it was going to be another `tough, mean' boss takes control of 'meek, submissive, worker. But it wasn't what I expected at all, it was much better. Rome was being hunted by the Payton...she was a bit meek but had all thr confidence when it came to seducing the uber professional Rome Blackburn who couldnt bring himself to cross the line. It was done tastefully too. Great read... cant wait to read about BFF Hunter

It was just a typical Monday. Until the big boss asked me to make the pitch for a prospective new client. After two years on shaky ground at work because of my screw up, an opportunity to impress the senior partners was just what I needed. Or so I thought, until I walked into the conference room and collided with the man I was supposed to pitch to. My coffee spilled, my files tumbled to the ground, and I almost lost my balance. And that was the good part of my day. Because the gorgeous man who crouched down and looked at me like he wanted to eat me alive was none other than my ex.

When it comes to this author I expect nothing less. Gray and Layla story was riveting. They both were to good people with a bad start but they made it work. There were some surprising twists and turns that made the book more exciting. I loved Layla's pro/con methods and Gray's protectiveness. These narrators always bring the books thry read to life. I will be reading it again.

Have my baby. That was what my single-dad best friend, Seth, said to me while I was waitressing at the diner. His little girl wants a sibling. But Seth is a workaholic millionaire and doesn't have time to meet someone. Someone who won't screw him over, like his kid's mother. Only problem is this someone has secretly been in love with him since high school. I've been hiding it forever, not wanting to risk our friendship.

It was pretty good. I liked the story a lot...but didn't love it.

It may be the listening that made it tough to decipher what was happening at certain times in the book at times when a lot of people were around (trying to figure out who was taking) or how it switched topics without really letting the reader know...or if they were internally thinking vs talking. So I guess its more structure or delivery. Also, they kept repeating the same thing over again. We learned about the 4 years old in chapter 1...in other chapters she was reintroduced. We get it.
I'm not a fan of when the narrator's talk in the other persons chapter either. If its the male's chapter they usually convert their voice when the female is speaking...not in this book...instead the female narrator will say whatever and then the male will finish speaking. That added to the confusion for me.

I still liked the story though.

The overall story was good though. A dad after a baby instead of the mom. The you have the male female BFF turn lover thing going on.

Give it a try with patience in tote. I like to re-read my favs...I can't see me reading this again. HOWEVER...there is a book 2 that I'm interested in. The story line seems pretty good. Not looking forward to the narration though.

This book was short, hot and sweet all at the same time. Having great narrators and a plot.
Being from two different sides of the tracks, doesn’t stop Kory and Henry from going on the prom together and falling for each other after one date. Unfortunately, a misunderstanding leads to them being apart and not speaking to each other for ten years. When they come back together and hash things out, they learn shocking revelations about what they have missed during their time apart.
True to Alexa Riley fashion (I’ve listened to all the audible books and love the 'For Her' Series), there are sweet parts, swoon worthy parts, steamy parts and parts where the male leads turns into a caveman when it comes to protecting his lady. This sexy billionaire surprised me with his sentiment and dedication to his lady – even during the time they were apart (swoon!).
It’s short and sweet so it’s not much angst but that doesn’t take away from the plot twists. For this book to be so short there are amazing plot twists and multiple epilogues to make me feel as if I didn't miss out on how things turn out. Worth a credit.

Matthew Hansen is the kind of handsome that has grown women whispering behind their hands and giggling like schoolgirls. Dark, tall and mysterious, he's a newcomer to our little town. He's a gritty, grease-covered mechanic, and a single daddy. Sweet, right? Plus, he's looking for a nanny - and I am desperately looking for a job. Sounds like the perfect deal. Only he's a jerk. An uncivilized, hulking brute. Zero manners. Zero interest in making me feel welcome in his home. Downright rude. But oh, so sexy. And I need the job. I can do this.

the narrator's aren't the three because Jacob was awesome but Anna and those deep breaths that she kept taking were a little off for me. I like her voice but she really needs to work on selling the story. In regards to the story itself it was just awful to listen to in a way, because the male character was just so mean towards the female character and it was really hard to listen to. I kept waiting for his aha moment and for him to be sweet but when it didnt come at chapter 22... i took a look at reviews and realized it was never coming. I didnt finish... i couldn't take it anymore

As an adult woman - and the vice president of a marketing firm - I shouldn't be waiting by my office window to ogle the mystery man who jogs by every morning at 11:45. Sure, he's a gorgeous, perfect specimen of the human race, but I can't bring myself to hit on a total stranger. However, my best friend-slash-colleague Vince Carson thinks I should do more than talk to the guy. In fact, he's borderline obsessive about "getting me laid". (His words.) But the more time we spend together, the more it's clear: The one I'm falling for is Vince.
