After losing her boyfriend, apartment, and job in the same day, Janie Morris can't help wondering what new torment fate has in store. To her utter mortification, Quinn Sullivan- aka Sir McHotpants- witnesses it all then keeps turning up like a pair of shoes you lust after but can't afford. The last thing she expects is for Quinn - the focus of her slightly, albeit harmless, stalkerish tendencies - to make her an offer she can't refuse.

I had to give this book a 3 because of all the self-doubt & negative opinion of herself. I get it but it was a bit too much and took away from the story.

This was a good book to listen to. This book has friendship, bad ass military, at one point annoying lady but had good intentions, it had love - it didn't get heated but the love/romance was there, and a good amount of action/fight scenes.

Best friends Shenin and Tyler didn't mean to fall in love. A friendship-turned love affair is hard enough to navigate through; throw in IEDs and gun battles, along with the separation that inevitably comes with life in the military, and you're asking for trouble. This is uncharted territory for both of them. Tyler has been openly gay for years, while Shenin has always dated men. With the government's "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" policy, it's a path that could endanger their careers but realizing they cannot live without each other, they take it all on to prove that love really can win.

Not a fan of love triangles, cheating, & characters that shut themself off to the truth of life going on around them. I get it, you're hurt and a bit jaded but it's annoying. The typical I've been hurt, let me mask my feelings & do something to, potentially, jeopardize a good thing. Then BAM books over have to wait till book 2.

Jay "Flash" Reynolds has a brilliant future as a trauma surgeon until a truck on a rainy night changes her life. Assistant chief medical examiner Olivia Price is more at ease with the dead than the living - at least the dead never lie. All she needs to do is listen to their stories. What she doesn't need is a surly new resident who would rather be somewhere else. Two women, one with a damaged body, the other a damaged spirit, challenge each other to dare to live again.

I liked how the characters from the first responder series and the justice series meshed together in this book. I also like how they told the story of a different department within the hospital without making it morbid. However, I didn't feel like the main characters were able to get their full story told because it kept switching between the justice series and the part I'm guessing goes with the first responders series.

I've listened to the narrator from a couple other books and had a chance to get use to her style so that didn't bother me so much. Although she isn't Betsy Z. or Abby Craden, etc. I think she did a good job.

I like Radclyffe books so I gave the overall rating a 5 even though this book isn't one of my faves.

Some believe that special someone is out there just waiting to be found. Jorie Andolini is one of those people and has spent a lot of time envisioning that moment. She bumps into a woman at a grocery store, the woman drops a can of peas, Jorie picks it up, their eyes meet, and two souls connect. But it's actually a wasted trip to New York, a snowstorm, and a canceled flight home that puts her in the path of Lena Vaughn.

It took me a couple of tries to listen to this book, but once I got about a third of the way in, maybe less than that, I wanted no interruptions and was happy when plans got cancelled so I could finish this book. There were many connections, twist I didn't see coming when I thought I had it figured out, and a bit of the dang I feel bad for that situations type of moments..

I don't know is KA Tracy is a new author but I will be adding KA to my must read list if all books are written this well! Kept me guessing the entire time...A narrator can make or break an audible book and I think she did a good job as well..
