I really liked the performance on Harry Clarke and enjoyed the story, but I didn’t really understand the point. As for Lilian, the performance was good too but not as engaging as Billy Crudup’s. Again, I didnt understand the point of the stories. Maybe just not for me.

Moving to America in 2008, Finnish journalist Anu Partanen quickly went from confident, successful professional to wary, self-doubting mess. She found that navigating the basics of everyday life - from buying a cell phone and filing taxes to education and childcare - was much more complicated and stressful than anything she encountered in her homeland. At first she attributed her crippling anxiety to the difficulty of adapting to a freewheeling new culture. But as she got to know Americans better, she discovered they shared her deep apprehension.

It’s frustrating however that I cant really do much as an individual (except to migrate to these Nordic countries). I hope that people running for office read this book and help the rest of us!

My childhood was perfect. I've led a charmed life, and I'm not going to blow it now by picking the wrong guy. I've got my sights set on my brother's best friend. He's known my family for years. He's reliable and kind and handsome. Sure, he's been avoiding me since I was six. I'm a bit aggressive for him, maybe. But he's the one...right?

The narrator was great but the story is just too unbelievable, in a too good to be true way, as if the characters behaved to just fit the story. I enjoyed it at the beginning but midway through it was becoming too unrealistic. Although... I’d recommend it if you’re looking not to take things too seriously.

After a dust storm nearly kills him and forces his crew to evacuate while thinking him dead, Mark finds himself stranded and completely alone with no way to even signal Earth that he's alive - and even if he could get word out, his supplies would be gone long before a rescue could arrive. Chances are, though, he won't have time to starve to death. The damaged machinery, unforgiving environment, or plainold "human error" are much more likely to kill him first.

I liked this a lot better than Name of the Wind for many reasons, particularly how this time his friends are helping him vs in the previous book where it's all just Kvothe.

Nick Podehl is an AMAZING narrator! I love him. I can't wait to get to the next book. His various accents are so spot on and the different characters are so distinct.

The 40+ hours of listening just flew by. Kind of sad that the book was over. I can't wait for the next book! I'll definitely continue with the same narrator.

Julian Fellowes's Belgravia is the story of a secret. A secret that unravels behind the porticoed doors of London's grandest postcode. Set in the 1840s, when the upper echelons of society began to rub shoulders with the emerging industrial nouveau riche, Belgravia is peopled by a rich cast of characters. But the story begins on the eve of the Battle of Waterloo in 1815. At the Duchess of Richmond's now legendary ball, one family's life will change forever.
