With a famous NHL player for a stepbrother, Violet Hall is well acquainted with the playboy reputation of many a hockey star. So of course she isn't interested in legendary team captain Alex Waters or his pretty, beat-up face and rock-hard six-pack abs. But when Alex inadvertently obliterates Violet's misapprehension regarding the inferior intellect of hockey players, he becomes much more than just a hot body with the face to match.

I am all over the place with this book. I almost dnf'd during the first chapter. I guess I should start by saying I am hockey. I am a hockey fan, a hockey mom and a hockey wife. 9 months out of the year my life is consumed with hockey. This is not my first hockey book. This is the first hockey book where the heroin has a hockey family yet knows very little and cares very little about the sport. Throughout the book I questioned if the author had ever been to a NHL game or if she had even watched one on tv.
Why did I stick with it? The story. I really enjoyed the story. I wanted to know what was going to happen to these to characters. As annoyed as I was with the details the storyline win me over. Pucked is a cute story.

The narrators did a great job. At times Nathan Everett sounded more irish than canadian.

Malcolm Saint was an assignment. A job. Any journalist would kill for access to this beautiful, difficult man, but I was the one sent to uncover Chicago's hottest entrepreneur. I intended to reveal him - to learn his thoughts, his secrets, his lifestyle - then complete my assignment and walk away. But my head was overtaken by my heart, and I fell for him - hard.

The first in a sexy new series by Katy Evans, New York Times best-selling author of the REAL series... This is the story I’ve been waiting for all my life, and its name is Malcolm Kyle Preston Logan Saint. Don’t be fooled by that last name, though. There’s nothing holy about the man except the hell his parties raise. The hottest entrepreneur Chicago has ever known, he’s a man’s man with too much money to spend and too many women vying for his attention.

Hockey star Alexander Crossman has a reputation as a cold-hearted player on and off the ice. Pushed into the sport by his alcoholic father, Alex isn't afraid to give fans the proverbial middle finger, relishing his role as the MVP they love to hate. Management, however, isn't so amused. Now Alex has a choice: fix his public image through community service or ride the bench. But Alex refuses to be molded into the Carolina Cold Fury poster boy... not even by a tempting redhead with killer curves.

I'm torn. I'm not sure how to review this. The story was good, I'm not sure I want to keep going though. I don't feel super connected to the characters. I loved their chemistry. The narrator has a great voice, I'm just not sure it was a good fit for this character. I felt she sounded older than she was in the story.

Grace Kinsella is social. But she likes the anonymity of being a blue bird on Twitter, where she can shoot arrows of pithy filth at her favorite movie star. Virtual love is right up her alley. Vaughn Asher is dominant. But only in private. A former child actor turned mega-movie action hero, Vaughn knows how to navigate a world filled with paparazzi, avoid the tabloids, and have his fun, too.

Everyone has a Vaughn Asher in their lives, someone you fantasize about, someone that is so out of reach millions of others want him as well. Now imagine what would happen if you ever met that person and nothing goes as planned.

Grace is just a regular girl like you and me, this is the story about her chance encounter with the unreachable. I love how strong, sassy and honest she is. She is in a rock and a hard place deciding to stay true to herself or explore new ideas that excite her.

These I characters have the best banter! I swear I love their heated conversations just as much as their hubba hubba times. Vaughn is just so lovable I can't get enough of him. Grace isn't afraid to go toe to toe with him. The Twitter back and forth is so fun. The phone, the hall, the roof? Love them all.

I'd like to say that Beauty and the Mustache is exactly like all of Penny Reid's other books "I’d like to say all that; but if I did, I’d be a liar." Because it isn't.

It is raw and honest and emotional. The first chapter had me laughing. The second chapter had me down in the dumps. Every chapter after had my emotions all over the place.

Drew is dreamy. I wouldn't mind getting all up on that Viking hunk-o-burning love.

Ashley has a lot on her plate. During all of her chaos we get glimpses of who she really is, and she's awesome. Her brothers are a really entertaining as well!

I love the knit group. They are an amazing group of ninjas.
I love Penny Reid. She is an amazing writing ninja.

Joy Nash crushed it. She nailed Ashley's voice and all of her brothers accents as well!

I love this story, hard. It captures a relationship from all angles. Some stories only cover the butterfly and rainbow side of a relationship, Ninja gives us that plus the dirty socks on the floor side.

Fiona is a BAMF. She is a no nonsense, straight up ninja. It's fun to see her interacting outside the knit group. Her kids are adorable, funny and real.

Greg, I don't even know what to say about Greg. He is the bee's knees. He is charming and witty and British! I am a victim of Greg's Voodoo, maybe I should put that on a shirt... I love his quick comebacks and his dry sense of humor.

I'm starting to think that more people should call me darling. I'm also thinking I want to be the Pinky to his Brain. Furthermore, if I saw him wearing a Seahawks 2015 Super Bowl Champs tee shirt I would kidney punch him.

Em Eldridge is the perfect Fiona. Will M. Watt is the perfect Greg. They both have a way of sucking you into the story and you can feel their emotions pouring out of the speaker.

This audio is a must listen.

"How do you spell relief?
T-O-U-C-H M-Y-S-E-L-F.
Well, a girl’s gotta do what she’s gotta do . . ."

This book is phenomenal. Let me just tell you, I love Wallbanger, hello Simon! But Nuts is making me say skooch over Simon, Leo is here.

"Maybe I was now zoned solely by Leo Maxwell."

I've never really had a thing for farmers, ever. I appreciate their hard work and enjoy their bounty, but I've never wanted to bed one. That's right, bed one. Until I met Leo Maxwell. He handles himself with a cool confidence that cannot be denied. He is completely swoon worthy. I spent 98% of the book swooning.

"I should have known when he licked my spine that this guy was going to ruin me."

It's pretty unusual for me to like the leading female as much as the leading male, but Roxie is awesome. I love her determination and her drive but mostly her sense of humor is unparalleled. She has the ability to take an awkward moment and turn it in into something spectacular. Sometimes it's hard to relate to a chef but she didn't make me feel like a slacker for liking simpler recipes.

The audio version of this book is equally as impressive. The narrator for Roxy is a perfect match. I could not have picked a better voice!

Overall I give Nuts 5 stars! Loved it!
