I didn't think I would like this one but found Karen once again covers topics with difficult answers while also bringing us closer to characters we love. I find myself thinking about them during the day as if they are real people! crazy! LOL!

I wasn't as sure of the readers when I started the above the line series, especially Bailey...but she has grown a lot in her skill and is engaging! She is delightful and brings tears too! Well done to All!

Not my favorite but happy to continue the series. I am struggling with the female readers, primarily Bailey and Andi...but I plan to continue on to book three. that says something ..

I really love this series and the narration. I am just disappointed they are abridged. Now I need to read and listen but with all my driving my reading to catch up has gotten behind.

In financial straits and on a sure path to spinsterhood, Venetia Milton thought her stay at the remote, ramshackle Arcane House, far from society's prying eyes, would be a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to engineer her own ravishment. She was there to photograph the relics and artifacts collected by a highly secretive organization, founded two centuries earlier by an eccentric alchemist.

I am listening to this now and struggling. Everytime the reader transitions her voice to say "Venetia said..." or "Gabrielle said..." etc, I am so completely annoyed. It is distracting from the story. Nonetheless, I am going to finish listening and give it a chance since I wanted to read this series for a while now. If book 2 is similiar I will give up the quest and move on to another series.
