As a nymph living in exile among humans, Clio has picked up all sorts of unique survival skills. But pilfering magic from the Underworld's deadliest spell weavers? Not so much. Unfortunately, that's exactly what she has to do to earn a ticket back home. Conning her way into the Underworld may have gone pretty well, but now she's got a new problem. His name is Lyre, and he's a sinfully alluring incubus, a skilled spell weaver, and the only thing standing between her and stealing some damn magic.

The narrator is fairly monotone, which after the second book is becoming tedious. At least he doesn't try to change his voice too much for different characters! The story is great though. I love the character development. The author goes on way too much though about spaceships and guns etc. etc.

At the risk of sounding sexist or ageist, although this is a great story and very well read, this is the kind of fantasy I would offer to young men. Being a 60 -year-old female avid fantasy reader/listener, I found the fairly cut and dried hero myth kind of tedious. I think I'll stick with my Charles de Lint, Jennifer Roberson, and space operas
