This book wasn’t for you, but who do you think might enjoy it more?

I am not sure who would love this as the narration is so bad. I have enjoyed all of the Private series and I can appreciate that they have tried to localize them through narration but the quality just wasn't there for this one. I didn't make it to the end.

What didn’t you like about Amerjit Deu and Raj Ghatak ’s performance?

The accent was difficult to understand and too monotone.

What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?

A better narrator and oh, a better story.

What was most disappointing about Jodi Ellen Malpas’s story?

It was boring. How it goes for 17 hours is completely beyond me as I didn't get past the 8th. I do hope another reviewer who liked this book can tell me what happened at the end.

What character would you cut from This Man?

The Man.

Any additional comments?

I know its different strokes for different folks (pun intended). But this seemed like a poor and very tired persons version of the SOG trilogy.

The Wonder Spot audiobook cover art

Ordinary

Having enjoyed The Girls Guide... I was extremely disappointed with The Wonder Spot. The book was written and narrated on what felt like one very long flat note, without the highs and lows or plot twists that keep listeners (rather than readers) entertained. ZZZzzzzzzz.
