I love this book and the movie equally. They are similar and yet very different. It sometimes gets bogged down in technological speak but anyone familiar with M. Crichton’s work knows that will happen.

Good book for Fandom loving ladies. (Love the Supernatural references.) With all the talk in this book about “Mystic” the tv show, it actually makes me want to watch an imaginary show. Lol
I also like how the writer handles sexism, inappropriate touching, and standing up for yourself.

I may be a minority on this one but most of the book I kept thinking “overwritten” & “skip”.

Time travel story good, characters are decent, the story flowed well, just overwritten. Some scenes would get stuck going in a circle of feelings, atmosphere, and surroundings. Reader took some getting used to.

A normal Cinderella story set in modern time and with fandoms being the underlining story. As a fan of many genres I enjoyed the geek/nerd references throughout the story. :)

I did have 2 problems with the story. 1) The timeline the story’s history is based on (it felt like it all over the place) 2) The reading and editing of the male reader. He kept the same voice most of the time and the editing had him repeating himself randomly.

There's no place like home... For teacher Jenna McKnight, nothing spells "heartbreak" like finding her husband with somebody else--in her bed. It's clearly time to reinvent herself. A new body, a new city, and a new job later, she's done just that. The beautiful Auckland villa isn't really her home, though. Finn Douglas and his kids aren't really her family, however much she wishes they were. And playing house can be a dangerous game. Rugby star Finn Douglas is just looking for a temporary nanny and housekeeper. Not a girlfriend, and definitely not a wife. He can't resist Jenna's cooking, it's true. Who knew he'd have so much trouble resisting her? He wants to do what's right for his kids. But waiting is so hard... Note: This romance, like New Zealand, contains a bit of steam. If that isn't your cuppa, maybe visit some other country... er, audiobook.

The story line was alright but over done. It was drawn out for way to long. The words “his woman & baby” are used often. At times a little to domineering and whining for my taste.

Warning: Sex scenes were often and explicit. If that’s not your thing, move on.

Would you try another book from Rob Thomas and Jennifer Graham and/or Rebecca Lowman?

I have already. However, this one feels different. It felt like someone else wrote it. Not nearly enough quirky, sarcastic jokes we've come to expect from VM stories. Low on the original VM characters too.

If you’ve listened to books by Rob Thomas and Jennifer Graham before, how does this one compare?

Book 1 is better, but I also think the reader was the wrong choice for this book. Her mono tone voice dragged the stories rhythm. She would probably be better at romances, not mysteries and thrillers.

Who would you have cast as narrator instead of Rebecca Lowman?

Yes. Mrs. Bell!!

Do you think Veronica Mars: Mr. Kiss and Tell needs a follow-up book? Why or why not?

Yes! The writers left it WIDE open!

Spoiler Warning : Daddy Mars and the "Sheriff" have an unspoken history; we are left with a sense that there's a big mystery waiting to come out. Also what's with Leo!! She just got back with Logan!

Any additional comments?

The crime storyline is good, but slow (again I think this is because of the reader). If you're a VM fan listen to it or read it but be prepared; it's different than the movie and the first book.
PS: The first 10 minutes confused me... Why were the writers so focused on that guy and his dog!?!?
