The different paces of this book made my head spin. It wasn't too difficult to figure out what was happening here. I felt for the main character and tried to imagine being that sick. Everything came together at the end and was about as happy as you could get for a story with so much sadness.

A good suspenseful read with good characters and some interesting twists and turns. I found myself being sucked-in around the last third of the book. It felt like it ended a bit rushed and abruptly, but I'm assuming that is because it is a series and the broader story is intended to go on. I haven't read any of the other books in the series, and I did not feel lost picking it up.

I'm breaking up with setups. No more “you should meet my son, nephew, grandson, the butcher, the guy down the street who mows my lawn.” People mean well, but machines know better, so I'll rely on the great dating algorithms of the web to find my ideal man, thank you very much. Soon enough, it looks like I’ve found him - his screen name is Lucky Suit, and he’s hilarious, quick-witted, and full of heart. But when we finally get together in person, I have the distinct feeling I’ve met him before. Funny enough - he says the same thing about me.

I didn't hate it enough to not finish, but if it would have been more than 7 hours, I might have. Except for the unexpected twist at the beginning, the rest of the story was so very predictable and drawn out with details that didn't really matter. An example: As a reader, I don't really care if the character stayed at the table tapping her fingers while the other character got coffee. The author did this all over the place. The tone was already set and tons of other descriptions that weren't needed were incorporated.
Decent story but just not enough to keep my attention for long.

The average song is three and a half minutes long; those three and a half minutes could lead to a slow blink, a glimpse of the past, or catapult the soul into heart-shattering nostalgia. At the height of my career, I had the life I wanted, the life I'd always envisioned. I'd found my tempo, my rhythm. Then I received a phone call that left me off key.

I picked this up as a daily deal, but I was hesitant to listen to it because I'm not a huge music lover. Don't get me wrong, I like music, I just don't have a deep love or appreciation for it. Honestly, I didn't know almost any of the songs that titled the chapters. I almost wondered how an almost 12 hour book about a drive could keep my attention.

Boy was a shocked and absolutely loved this book. The writing kept me hooked, and I couldn't wait until the end. I love the main character, especially her wicked sense of humor and her sass. I rode the emotional roller coaster with the characters. There were times when my heart hurt deeply for the characters.

Do yourself a favor and take a drive with this book!

Can't wait to read my next book by Kate Stewart.

This one took me completely by surprise. There were twists throughout and the different POVs were very interesting. Throughout, I really struggled to determine who was telling the truth. It is a bit twisted, but it kept me listening!

My only complaint was that all of the POVs sounded the same. The narrator could not really distinguish the voices which became problematic at times while listening. Entire chapters were from one person's POV, and I would sometimes get lost and have to scramble to remember whose POV it was.

I've been running for about 10 years, and I do not want to be an ultra runner. However, over the last couple of years, I've really struggled to keep my mileage up and stay injury-free. It is frustrating because I spent the first eight years almost complete injury-free. This book help me reflect on how I went from no running to running two marathons in a span of a couple of years. It helped me to see how my running "pride" is getting in the way of just running. Glad that I picked it up, and I'm hoping his honest telling of his struggles helps me to find my way back to at least doing half marathons.

I love suspense books that twist and turn; however, I generally figure out the end way before it is over. That did not happen with this book. The author did a great job of villianizing (is that a word?) multiple characters, and it kept me guessing. Definitely enjoyed it throughout. Giving 4 instead of 5 because it was a bit slow through the middle, and it felt like it wrapped very abruptly. Even with that, I would recommend.
