I guess I will have to read book 5, because I CANNOT listen to this narrator, she delivers an annoying, grating, and just terrible performance, good luck everyone.

Think a more feminine version of Game of Thrones, less bloody but just as Grand a scale. The massive plot tucks neatly into nice tidy and pleasant endings. Carrey does a fantastic job of creating a world that is subtle and exciting. The gods are real but play a subtle and small background roll compared to the human struggles. The Love Story from this Saga is one of my all-time favorites. So if you want a fantasy series with a Vivid new world, massive plot with many twists, a touch of feminine details, and an epic love story filled with Adventure, Peril and War this is the series for you.

this author constantly surprises me with well woven intricate and tightly-held plot lines with threads that are often planted from 1 to 3 or even 4 books ago coming full circle and being neatly tucked away in a very pleasing manner. it never fails that when I begin to think these are run-of-the-mill young adult books she has a clever surprise that impresses me . these plot twists really make the series pop.

Their world is one in which those who die in glory return as gods to live confined to a pantheon in Hallandren's capital city and where a power known as BioChromatic magic is based on an essence known as breath that can be collected only one unit at a time.

the mistborn series is a better and more polished work by the same author. I felt like the ending could have occurred at any time and was somewhat unsatisfied at the end.
