I'll Never Tell audiobook cover art

I only chose this book because it was a kindle unlimited with audio book, and it wasn't bad, but not much of a thriller or mystery. the number of characters & different time lines got to be confusing & at times I confused Ryan and Shawn, and especially the female characters. none of the really felt well defined or fleshed out.
portions of the story felt added just to reflect the times - the sex, anger issues & gender/sexuality characteristics - rather than to really add to the story.
I 'solved' the whodunit fairly early on, so no big reveal there. but maybe I just read & listen to too many thrillers.
overall it was just ok.

I've been interested in the life of Marie Curie most of my life. she was THE WOMAN WHO WAS REMEMBERED IN SCIENCE so long before we had other female role models. I expected this to be a story about a bad ass woman who worked & sacrificed in a mans world. instead it's a love story loosely based on history. this is the type of story we had in the 1980swhen we looked for historical women. I thought we'd come farther. I guess not.

this is such a scary story for children. but we all loved it! the narration was amazing.
myonly complaint was the music between the chapters - too loud just didn't fit.

this isn't my usual chioice for books - not really a spy or trial drama type person. but I've enjoyed others by this author (loved the Tracy Crosswaite series) but I kept seeing it on lists & it was offered through kindle unlimited so I thought I'd give it a try. narration was pretty good overall too. completing to listen to - binged the whole book in one day!
next time im iin the mood for courtroom drama, I think I'll seek out this author rather than the popular guy who did the Firm.

I hated this book & even the narration was terrible. the whole story is a series of rude, crude, general comments, name dropping & complaining. I usually enjoy memories, even celebrity memoirs. but not this one. horrible horrible horrible.

I got this as an offer for reduced price & then saw it was KU & decided to try it. I'm not a fan of these "stupid blind women who don't see that the husband is unfaithful & keeping secrets". not all marriages are le this & not all men who travel for work cheat, but so many books le this seem to flood the market. it's annoying.
but for a kindle unlimited book, it passed the time.

I enjoyed the authors Great Library series & decided to give this a try when it was offered as a daily deal. but it's just too unbelievable. I can't see any woman who is that hyper vigilant suddenly trusting people as she does ib this book.

I read this book first about 12 years ago & loved it. I can't been a fan of this style of writing, bir enjoyed it for what ever reason at the time. not much of a fan now, but I saw this offered on kindle unlimited w the audio & thought "why not?". I remembered much of the story & still laugh ed in the same places, the audio production was much better than i would have expected for this style & age of book. but the writing wasn't 'right' for audio, for me.
still, our was interesting to revisit this book in a new way & filled some time.
