I was drawn to this book because my Father flew for the Royal Airforce and told me stories of the children relocated in England. This is a tragic yet very heartwarming story. I loved this book and didn’t want it to end. Great narration as well! Highly recommend.

My Father was an RAF pilot and flew the P-51 Mustang fighter plane during WW2. He told me stories of those days and being shot down over France. This book brought back all the vivid memories be shared with me. The entire book is so well written you feel like you actually know these characters and feel their struggles and pain. The performance was captivating and held my attention not wanting it to end. The final chapter brought me to tears and a better understanding of the stories my Father told me. Highly recommend this book!! Thank you Kristin Hannah for telling this story. ❤️

The Thanksgiving holiday was a much-needed respite, a time to connect, a time to reflect on what the year had brought, and what the future might hold. But this year felt different from all those that had come before.

Audie Award, Audiobook of the Year, 2016. Rachel takes the same commuter train every morning. Every day she rattles down the track, flashes past a stretch of cozy suburban homes, and stops at the signal that allows her to daily watch the same couple breakfasting on their deck. She’s even started to feel like she knows them. "Jess and Jason," she calls them. Their life—as she sees it—is perfect. Not unlike the life she recently lost. And then she sees something shocking. It’s only a minute until the train moves on, but it’s enough. Now everything’s changed. Unable to keep it to herself, Rachel offers what she knows to the police, and becomes inextricably entwined in what happens next, as well as in the lives of everyone involved. Has she done more harm than good? Compulsively readable, The Girl on the Train is an emotionally immersive, Hitchcockian thriller and an electrifying debut.
