This book of short stories and novellas perfectly adds to the original storyline perfectly. It helps to give the original stories more demension and helps to build on the character lines. Sometime the stories are told from the voice of the humans fighting for their lives and sometime it is told from the viewpoint of the variants. The voice of the narrator helped to make the story believable. All told this is a great set of stories and keeps you involved in the original storyline.

This book tells the story of how the boy deals wiith being alone on a strange planet having to learn survival skills by himself. Or is he alone? The narrator's voice was almost monotone but that added to the story. I enjoyed listening to this book.

not as action packed as book 3 but still good. The new army is sweeping through the island - can Rupert's evil and brash ways stop the master of crows? Sabastion on the other hand has discovered his true love, Sophia, is still alive across the sea. His wedding with Angelique is about to begin. You can feel the pain and love in all the actions. Read this and prepare to get the next book. The audible for this book is okay - there is some changes for voices and the voice is soothing and easy to listen to.

Seventy-five years ago, the dragons fell from the sky. We thought they were just meteorites - six terrifying explosions rang the world like a bell. When the dust settled, we went on with our lives as though nothing had happened. More than a decade later, five of the eggs hatched. The dragons that emerged were small and weak. They kept to the shadows, working in secret to persuade people to do their bidding, offering magic as payment and reward. Years passed...and still we didn't notice the evil growing in our midst.

The story line continues on from the previous book. Rhapsody joins the army after having killed Andy the dragon. The war has started with the emperor of Sorbold doing some dastardly things like killing an entire Abby - every woman, child and infant. He is going into the fight ruthlessly and plans to win. The story is made really captivated by the interpretation by the narrator. He does a fine job with the various voices of the different characters and works through the emotions believably. I will recommend this series to others.

Vydor was on a fast track to the highest-ranking position in the Imperial Navy’s security forces and was recently assigned to the senior staff of the flagship of the Navy, the Dragon Claw. All he wanted to do his entire life was to serve his god, the Emperor, and given his phenomenal performance during his training in the Naval Academy, it seemed he would be able to do just that.

It took till the action got really moving for me to begin to get into this story . I wasn't thrilled with any of the storyline because I didn't feel it was "fleshed out " very well. It seemed simplistic in everything , nothing felt truly explained. The wizard's powers for example I know that they were each born with their power but it felt that they grew more powerful overnight but in what? It sounds like they just grew in power suddenly and already knew how to use it. I may continue with the series just to see if he begins to describe things Moore in depth.
