Churchless reveals the results of a five-year study based on interviews with thousands of churchless men and women. Looking past the surface of church attendance to deeper spiritual realities, Churchless will help us understand those who choose not to be part of a church, build trust-based relationships with them, and be empowered to successfully invite them to engage.

this book is great. though slightly dated now, it cuts through the anxiety false notions of "everyone's out to get me" that can be reinforced by media and culture in regards to faith and witnessing. by giving facts and statistics, the barn group shows just how similar churches and unchurched can be, both positively and negatively, and reveals generally effective and ineffective means of sharing faith - what a find!

Young people today enter adulthood with expectations of blissful dating followed by romantic, fulfilling marriages only to discover they've been duped. They learned about love and sexuality from social media, their friends, Disney fairy tales, pornography, or even their own rocky pasts, and they have no idea what healthy, lifelong love is supposed to be like. The results are often disastrous, with this generation becoming one of the most relationally sick, sexually addicted, and divorce-ridden in history.

I appreciate the testimony shared by the Bethkes. While being an amazing account of God's faithfulness, it also exposes some pitfalls from a traditionalist approach to sex and intimacy, as well as pitfalls of the more whatever-whenever-however-pleases-me approach. Their emphasis on mutual love and submission to each other while focusing on Christ was refreshing in an age saturated in self righteous indignation and relativism.

The dramatic autobiography of one of China's dedicated, courageous, and intensely persecuted house church leaders. This is the gripping story of how God took a young, half-starved boy from a poor village in Henan province and placed him on the front line for Jesus, in the face of impossible odds. Instead of focusing on the many miracles or experiences of suffering, however, Yun prefers to focus on the character and beauty of Jesus.

What a powerful account of God's provision and might. This account brings into sharp relief the statement, "if God calls you, He will equip you." For more support of that, look to 2 Cor. 9:8 and Hebrews 13:21. Challenging and encouraging! Read it asking "is what I'm living for worth Christ dying for? What are some things I'm crying for? Are they on behalf of others or for myself?" Make us more like You, Lord.

The rise of secular gods presents the most serious challenge to the absolute claims of Christ since the founding of Christianity itself. The Christian worldview has not only been devalued and dismissed by modern culture, but its believers are openly ridiculed as irrelevant. In Jesus Among Secular Gods, Ravi Zacharias and Vince Vitale challenge the popular "isms" of the day, skillfully pointing out the fallacies in their claims and presenting compelling evidence for revealed absolute truth as found in Jesus.

Nabeel Qureshi does a fantastic job of assessing Islam and reconciling his Muslim upbringing with his Christian faith. Answering questions that are frequently asked, Qureshi makes clear distinctions between what is Islam and what is Christianity, what is jihad, and what are the foundations of Islam. Great book.

America is at a tipping point, and never has this been more apparent than right now. We are in danger of losing our spiritual and moral heritage, making many believe that we have fallen beyond the point of recovery. This book is here to say that yes, we have fallen. In fact fallen much further than we realize, but our country's best days are ahead - with the help of a radical, moral, and cultural revolution, beginning with the church. This book is a manual for the revolution.

Dr. Brown clearly and effectively communicates the foundation and decline of America, and the steps needed for correction. In order to save a sick America, we must allow the Lord to address our sick selves. Clear content that is ready to be practically applied.
The narrator does a good job as well. He reads clearly, in a measured rhythm, and does a good job of not getting between the reader and the text.
