What was one of the most memorable moments of Better Than New?

After seeing her show, I did appreciate the background on the houses she worked on. It gave a little more depth to the TV show.

Did the narration match the pace of the story?

It did, but I listened to the book a little faster just to get through some of her story. She can get a little dry at times.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Not at all. Sometimes her voice gets annoying as you are listening to her tell her story. You can't decide whether to cheer her on or be pissed about the decisions she has made.

Tiffany can't avoid being funny: it's just who she is. But The Last Black Unicorn is so much more than a side-splittingly hilarious collection of essays - it's a memoir of the struggles of one woman who came from nothing and nowhere. A woman who was able to achieve her dreams by reveling in her pain and awkwardness, showing the world who she really is, and inspiring others through the power of laughter.

Definitely. While there are a lot of characters, the narrator is freakin outstanding and managed to give each one of them their own voice. I have no idea why so many people considered this book hilarious. It was not, but it did have some funny moments.

Overall, I truly enjoyed the story and I do believe this book is best as an audiobook. A great narrator makes all the difference.
