With human civilization annihilated by a biological zombie plague, a ragtag fleet of yachts and freighters known as Wolf Squadron scours the Atlantic, searching for survivors. Within every abandoned liner and carrier lurks a potential horde, safety can never be taken for granted, and death and turning into one of the enemy is only a moment away. Yet every ship and town holds the flickering hope of survivors. This is one of those series where you find yourself at 3 in the morning with your headphones on, knowing you need to get up in a few hours to go to work, but just cannot turn it off. I am tired, but damn was this was an awesome listen. Great characters, believable story, and fun. I found it just as good or better than one second after, and one year after.

Excellent narration, and one of the most compelling sci fi stories I have ever read. This is Heinlein level sci fi, and my third listen to this series. John's other series are more fun if you want a good laugh, but this series brings to life a world you can imagine being real. One series that goes in my top ten list!

I loved the first book in this series. The story was compelling, and it held my interest. The author painted pictures with words, and the characters were deep and sympathetic. In this edition, it was all characters and no story. I found myself daydreaming and losing my place. Read the first one and enjoy it. This one is not worth the time
