My name is Greer Karas, and I should never be allowed near another bottle of booze again. Because when I drink, my friend and I do stupid things. Like take a page out of my older brother Creighton's playbook and post something completely asinine on the Internet. Waking up with a giant hangover to find my humiliating personal ad has gone viral is not my finest moment.

Shame on me. Simply due to the fact that this was a Meghan March book I didn't read any reviews, This is my 6th book by this author and I didn't think I needed too. If I had, I would have read that this little story is just that, a little bit of the story. I'm not sure if it's the authors that initiate splitting up these types of stories into several books or if it's the publisher... on principle I skip them. Regardless,of how much I like the author. In my opinion, it detracts from their credibility and makes it very clear it's about generating revenue and not entertaining their fans. How can JK Rowling , Diana Gabaldon, Malala Yousafzai, Stephen King, Ken Follett or JRR Tolkien put books out on Audible for 1 credit or in some cases a purchase price option for LESS than this little 5 hour snack?? 5 hours for 1 credit or $14.95 is ridiculous when you aren't getting the entire story. I'm shocked by all the high reviews- shame on them for perpetuating this obvious marketing strategy There is ABSOLUTELY no reason that this could not have been one book, or have a purchase price option for at least 1/2 of what it is. This seems to only be a trend in the Romance genre. Why is this?? I can only assume the authors & the publishers assume the romance fans are idiots.

Greer & Cavanaugh
This is 2nd chance romance. Written in both characters POV. The flashbacks are a bit confusing. This is more erotica then contemporary romance, Light BDSM. Nothing I minded but it may matter to others. There is so much supposed history between these 2 - years upon years of missed opportunity yet the initial meeting and relationship between Greer & Cav was rushed, no tension or build up, no anticipation. No development at all. The characters express several times "...I've been thinking about this for years" "...I've wanted to do this for years". However, as a reader you never get to feel the anticipation of the h/H wanting/pining for each other. You have no clue really how they met or what took him from blue color worker to Hollywood action star. If you perhaps are having a hard time remembering the name of the book, don't worry by the end you will have it burned into your "Dirty Girl" memory b/c the H refers to her this way A Lot...like a lot - a lot. It's her nickname. The narrators Andy Arndt (not Elena Wolfe which is who Audible has listed) & Sebastian York are flawless - they could make church hymns sound hot. Save your credits & your $ unless Part 1 & 2 go on a "buy one get one" sale. However based on all the mysterious 4-5 stars reviews don't hold your breath.

Tracker is everything I've ever wanted. I see him. I've watched time change him. I've been patient, but he still hasn't noticed me. Not the way I want him to. The more time I spend with the MC, the more I understand. When you want something, you have to take it. You have to fight for it. And Tracker is more than worth fighting for....

Not really a MC book, meaning violence and criminal antics not being used as the usual plot devices. I like when an author doesn't create a cover model male lead with a mousie girl. The heroine was cute & petite and came off as a "good-girl" but not homely. Sure there's the usual cheese factor, I mean you are reading a romance novel about a biker and a nanny - but it good cheese. Some very funny parts that will have you laugh out loud. The hero was your typical dumb a$$ towards the end. The typical "big fight" caused by the "big misunderstanding".. So the h/H can have the "Big HEA". It's a light read, probably better enjoyed if you get it on sale.

He was someone who belonged in my wildest fantasies instead of a rest stop in the middle of Nebraska. A sexy, cocky Australian named Chance was the last person I expected to run into on my cross-country drive. When my car broke down, we made a deal. Next thing I knew, we were traveling together, spending sexually tense nights in hotels, and taking unplanned detours. My ordinary road trip turned into the adventure of a lifetime. It was all fun and games until things got intense.

I found the male narrator distracting for the entire book. His voice sounded much older then the age the character was supposed to be. The female narrator was much better and I actually preferred her male voice to the actual male narrator. I also didn't enjoy the second half of the story. What a disappointment. The idea was interesting and the reasons behind the drama were noble but the execution just kind of ruined the whole story and just left me feeling sad and frustrated for these characters. I usually will listen to a book twice before I write a review but I just couldn't endure this one again. This is the first book I've listened to from this writing duo and I will try again.

There is nothing to regret in this purchase. I want to invite this family over for Thanksgiving! Okay, so for those who want the facts... No cliff hanger, yes you get to see and hear about the rest of the gang from previous LB books, there is a fun look into the future with the epilogue that covers many of the characters from the other LB books. Oh and of course you can never go wrong with Sebastian York as narrator!

I was looking forward to this story, the concept being fun. Unfortunately, it just dragged. The beginning of the story was sweet, the time spent together on their honeymoon. Parts in the middle highlighted the heroine gaining more confidence. However, there was a large part of the book that didn't offer much in the way if character development or events relevant to the relationship. Then just when you think the heroine is finished being a victim... The last 2 chapters of the books... Then all the sudden all was good and the end...

Parts were Fun & Flirty. I enjoyed the banter and tension between the two. However, it became kind of tedious for about 6-7 chapters it was the same back and forth with no real character or story development. Hawke just became kind of ignorant & childish. Much could have been consolidated it was just fluff. I enjoyed the first 15% and then the last 20%. Everything in between was kind of boring.

As a long time fan of Mrs Ward and the Brotherhood I am beyond excited for this new series. It was very good! I can't wait to read about the whole cast and crew! The story pulls you in right away and it quickly becomes impossible to put down. My only complaint is that while I do love all the originals I would have liked for this book to have been more about the new characters. The new and the originals had almost equal screen time.

It's my go to when I can't find anything to listen too. I have listened to almost all of Samantha Young's books; this is one of my favorites. I'm not even sure where to fan girl first... Angelica Lee, the narrator is fantastic.. So many different characters and voices! The story...the sexual tension is off the charts... When they finally come together it's put everything down, pull the car over to the side of the road, turn off the vacuum and stand in the middle of the room and listen! Alexa & Caine's story starts with a sexual attraction that is so strong but somewhat forbidden, there's family drama, a lovable but kooky neighbor, a little bit of suspense. The story is in Alexa's POV, so as the listener you will certainly know her much better than Caine. However, you learn about him through Alexa and without giving spoilers he will gradually reveal more of himself throughout the story. Stand alone, no cliffhanger! So worth the credit!

What a great surprise!! This story was very good. It was a forbidden romance between teacher & student. However, had interesting twists and turns, great secondary characters, who were well developed. The main characters were awesome. The flow of the relationship was good. I'm not alway a fan of dual narrative. The sexual tension gets a little watered down when you hear the inner monologue of both characters, and when you hear 1st hand the mutual attraction it can feel like insta-love. When the pov is only from one side sometimes it ratchets up the sexual tension!!! In the case of Black Rainbow the dual POV was great. I also liked that the Hero was NOT a manwhore and the heroine was NOT this quirky wallflower, who once she is noticed by the Hero is all of the sudden the most attractive women to enter a room/bar/ restaurant. The heroine Thea Cunning is FEIRCE long before meeting Mr Black. I felt like I knew them well by the end of their story. This is the 1st book I have listened too by JJ McAvoy, so glad I did. Stand alone - no cliff hanger!!

When you're a defense attorney in Washington, DC, you see firsthand how hard life can be and that sometimes the only way to survive is to be harder. I've listened to this entire series a couple times. Emma Chase is alway an auto purchase for me. This book is my favorite of the 3 in the Legal Briefs series and has one of my FAVORITE cast of characters. There are so many laugh out loud funny parts in this book! I can't say enough about Sebastian York's narration, we all know he does great Alpha male voices, but he is outstanding in this book.. Lost count at like 15 different narrated characters & 5 of them are kids! The relationship build between the main characters was well paced, not rushed or insta-love, but when it did happen it was hot!!! The story is told from Jakes point of view so while there isn't an insta-love you know from the beginning that he finds Chelsea attractive. The reader also gets Jake's take on all the kids and their antics, which is part of the hilarity!!! This is stand alone, but you do get to see characters from the 1st book in the series. Not a cliff hanger. ** this is totally a honest review in exchange for my paid for copy ;) 😉
