Shards of Time
- Nightrunner, Book 7
- By: Lynn Flewelling
- Narrated by: Adam Danoff
- Length: 12 hrs and 54 mins
Acclaimed author Lynn Flewelling brings her beloved Nightrunners series to a close - at least for now - with a thrilling novel of murder, mystery, and magic. The governor of the sacred island of Korous and his mistress have been killed inside a locked and guarded room. The sole witnesses to the crime - guards who broke down the doors, hearing the screams from within - have gone mad with terror, babbling about ghosts...and things worse than ghosts. Dispatched to Korous by the queen, master spies Alec and Seregil find all the excitement and danger they could want - and more.
Deeply enjoyable installment in a great series

Good story bad narrator.
Is there anything you would change about this book?
I would change the narrator. When I read it in hard copy I liked it but the narrator is bland, one voiced, and boring.
What other book might you compare Shards of Time to and why?
I liked the others in the series. And they were good to listen to because of the other narrators.
Who would you have cast as narrator instead of Adam Danoff?
Almost anyone. But Tim Gerard Reynolds, Bronson Pinchot, Euan Morton, Jim Dale, Ray Porter, Rob Inglis, Raymond Todd....these are all excellent narrators. I am sure there are many more.
If this book were a movie would you go see it?
Any additional comments?
Please note that I will continue listening since I know the book is well written. It's just that the narrator is phoning it in.
