But he is soon lured into a torrid love affair by ultra-seductive art student Lana Fish. Not a romance, not a murder mystery, not proper si-fi.

It had potential the be really good but, none of the element is a success.

The main character is shown a box with a space portal, giving him the ability to travel to different places on earth. He does not think this remarkable, he does not use it....no, he is to busy juggling his two girlfriends. He is an idiot. Why an alien would think it good the give him this gift, that is a mystery!

The best thing about the book, was the narrator.

This is a survival story with 30% adventure, 10% thriller and 70% human drama. I enjoyed the adventure and survival. Most of the conflict is human drama.

The character’s internal battle with their own and each other’s weaknesses, interrupted all tension and watered down the thrilling situation the characters find themselves in. For me the self evaluating, got tedious and drawn out.

Is was well written and the narration was good. But not as thrilling as it could have been.

In line with the first in the series.
Funny, fast paced and entertaining.
It tells more than one story and the characters are fun.
Don't expect intrigue or a surprise ending.
The narrator is a good match for the main character.

This book just did not grip me, my attention kept wondering and I kept loosing the story line.

It's difficult to say why. I think it might be the narrator. There was no emotional variation in his reading. His tone and pace for fear, passion, excitement and anger was all the same. Not a boring voice,it just goes do background noise. I heard his voice, but did not listen to what he said.

Sorry, I think this story might do better with a different narrator.

After a couple of bad 'free' books, this was a pleasant change.

Packed with a few different police cases, this felt like good value for my time. More humor than suspense, but not silly.

The story pas was fast and entertaining.I enjoyed the humor. I could ask for less 'mr. Winky' jokes.

The narrator was good.

This story is 10% murder, 45% dog, 45% yoga. Yoga breathing, yoga stretching, yoga stands, yoga mind cleansing, yoga energy, bla-bla-bla. Very new age, hippy. Which does not suite the main characters uptight personality.

She is illogical and irrational. She feels uncomfortable with a creepy guy, but locks up her scary dog so she can be alone with him? She sleeps with a guy before their first date, but tells her friend she barely knows him well enough to say if she likes him?

I love dogs, but this got to mush, really! Half the book is about finding therapy or food for the dog. She is almost broke, but a crazy guy fiscally manhandle her into buying his sick dog and she has to pay for the food he fed the dog wile he had the dog? It's stupid.

The cover suggested humor, the title suggested suspense or mystery. No such luck. Leave out the dog and yoga and this story is one chapter long.

The narrator was good.

Did not like this. Listened on fast forward
It felt like one long slow, gossip story with dull characters.

No chapter or character changes are announced, so you never know who is speaking. The "hut' is mentioned so many times, but no-one really goes there.

No surprises as to who dies or who killed them. Kept on hoping for exiting explanation, but all I got was 10-minute afterthought about what happened in the hut. Add conviction of an innocent person off a death not explained at the end. Wraps this up as unsatisfying and a waste of time.

The narration was slow and difficult to distinguished different character.
