Star college quarterback, Colt Walker, has it all: good looks, brains, one of the best arms in the game, not to mention potential for the Heisman and a first round NFL draft pick, until he puts it all on the line as he slides into the ugly world of sports gambling. College football referee, Frank Gastner, is a man stewing in his own misery, consumed by a drinking problem, heavy gambling debt, and heading into a nasty divorce.

Sometimes it's hard to find an audio book that will keep hubby interested on long car trip. This one was perfect as it had the sports element to keep him engaged. Since he is an athletics administrator at a college, he found himself so disappointed in, sometimes mad at, some of the characters choices, that it would leave him wanting to resume our trip/listening so the he could see how things would be resolved. Great fun story!

The funny and talented Chip Gaines is well known to millions of people as a TV star, renovation expert, bestselling author, husband to Joanna, and father of four in Waco, Texas. But long before the world took notice, Chip was a serial entrepreneur who was always ready for the next challenge. Whether it was buying a neighborhood laundromat or talking a bank into a loan for some equipment to start a lawn-mowing service, Chip always knew that the most important thing was to take that first step.

My first audible book! Happy to have chosen a biography, I love hearing author speak in own words. Interesting to hear about the beginnings, the struggles and triumphs, and how the t.v. show came to be. There's more to Chip than I knew. Very inspirational listen.
