I was so used to the way Gavin sounded in Paul Clewell's voice that I couldn't get through this book. I stopped almost halfway, the people all sounded so different then those I knew so well from 1 & 2....disappointing, it kept throwing me from the story.

From the beginning this is an interesting book, its a mix of creepy and funny all at once - but not too much of either! Without saying too much - I do want to add there is some admittedly uncomfortable parts involving sex in this book - nothing blatant, no erotica - but the inner dialogue of the main character and some stuff he finds out about his daughter. Even so its not a large part of the book or anything.

This book has truly kept me guessing!

Make sure you listen to the preview, the narration is in this exaggerated voice - to exaggerated - like someone trying to be funny or something. Never heard anything like it. Couldn't get past ten mins in, it was so irritating. I know better then to not listen to the preview, I cannot believe I skipped it on this one!

I loved this book, I liked how the protagonist was not perfect but he did not apologize for his past. It was interesting how he was introduced to the magical world, there was a lot of action and I liked getting to figure things out along with the main character!

**Spolier Alert**
I loved the Reaper aspect that was introduced, admittedly he was a bit overpowered but sometimes I love a book where the protagonist kicks butt and takes names.

Cannot wait for the next in the series!
