Native shamanic traditions tell us that there are cords, strands, threads, and filaments of energy that flow to and through us, connecting us to everyone and everything in the universe. Some energy strands make us feel vibrant and alive. Others deplete and weaken us. Most of us are unaware of these energy strands, but they are extremely powerful forces that surround us every day.

I am so impressed with this book! It's well worth many listens. Each listen will reveal a new aspect of the multifaceted energy strand. Superbly narrated, you feel as though Denise is speaking to you directly. After reading this book, you'll have not only the tools needed to cut cords but a in depth understanding of how and why these cords connect and sometimes...regrow. I wish I would've found this book sooner!

perhaps a pdf to accompany the audio.

What was most disappointing about Reality Entertainment’s story?

It's simply not meant for audio. Very disappointed. Tough to follow and difficult to get into.

Who would you have cast as narrator instead of Reality Entertainment?

It's not the narration it's the content.

What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?

let-down/disappointed.

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Yes. It's the field guide you've been looking for.

What did you like best about this story?

It gets to the heart of the matter with real world scenarios and practical advice. It gives the reader an observational perspective on their own behavior. The whole book may not pertain to you but you can be sure that you will be able to apply some of it to your life.

Which scene was your favorite?

I liked the scenario's given and the 'split view' of what was happening internally.

What did you learn from The Worry Cure that you would use in your daily life?

To stand back and let life happen...worry is only a facade and trickery of the mind. You will be alright no matter what.

Any additional comments?

Worth a read and a re-read

What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?

Better advice. This is not something that would be 'new'. Basically remember to say thank you and treat people with respect and decency. This book is more or less telling you to mind your manners.

Has Eight Ways to Win with People turned you off from other books in this genre?

Not in the genre per se...but definitely this author. Not impressed.

Would you be willing to try another one of John C. Maxwell’s performances?

Nope.

If you could play editor, what scene or scenes would you have cut from Eight Ways to Win with People?

If you could sum up Sara, Book 1 in three words, what would they be?

Friend, "Welcome Home"

What did you like best about this story?

What I liked best about this book is that it can be listened to any number of times and still hold it's potency. You may extract new messages from each read. This book is suitable for all ages.

Which scene was your favorite?

There is not any one scene that was my favorite as they all play so wonderfully upon one another. It's truly a story.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

It's the kind of book that is perfect for a cold winter's day. You do want to listen to it all in one sitting but with a child's heart and a cup of cocoa.

Any additional comments?

Well worth a read or more. This book as well as 2 and 3 remain on my bookshelf - others come and go, this one stays.

Arthur Edward Waite was a profound student of the occult. He was a member of the Order of The Golden Dawn, and made the Tarot accessible to the modern day reader. This classic text for the Rider- Waite deck discusses:-The major and minor arcana.-What each card means.-Reversed card meanings.-How to do a basic reading. The Pictorial Key to The Tarot is ideal for use with the Rider- Waite Deck and the Universal Waite Tarot Deck.

Would you try another book from Arthur Edward Waite and/or Alec Sand?

YES....but not in a big hurry to do so....this book is hard to digest.

Has The Pictorial Key to The Tarot turned you off from other books in this genre?

No, as every book is different and deserves a honest chance.

How could the performance have been better?

More engaging material. I don't think it was the performance that was the issue. It just seemed so very dry and difficult to get into.

If you could play editor, what scene or scenes would you have cut from The Pictorial Key to The Tarot?

I would try to make it more engaging. It was like reading an antiquated clinical dissertation on the interest of the author.

Any additional comments?

This is NOT a book that lends itself to learning the Tarot, nor is it a book that is 'easy to listen to'...

Reviewed: 02-26-12

Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?

Absolutely not. In fact it almost turns a person off of it. Told from a very feminist perspective, spirituality is left out while the emphasis is placed on religion. Though it has 'rituals' in its name the ones presented are nothing more than glorified meditations. Very uninspiring. But, to be fair, I may not have been the target audience and some may find this book to be very good...

What was the most interesting aspect of this story? The least interesting?

I found the format interesting. It wasn't a book as much as it was a lecture done in a conversational style. Least interesting..was the stance the author took. It is very much a 60's sort of feel with an us against them mentality.

What aspect of Starhawk’s performance would you have changed?

Good question. The performance itself is ok

Was Earth Magic worth the listening time?

Not in my opinion.

Any additional comments?

Scott Cunningham may be a better choice if looking into this area.

Intelligent, Insightful and Enthralling

What other book might you compare Out of My Mind to and why?

The Outsiders due to the intro/retrospection and the way in which it's told from a 'beyond one's age' wisdom yet is true to the youthful nature of the story.

Which character – as performed by Sisi Aisha Johnson – was your favorite?

Melody, Conner, Mrs V., Claire, (Ok, all of them!) An absolutely outstanding narrator.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

It is a very touching story and the narrator truly brings it to life. There couldn't be a better reader for this book.
