I really liked the book the first few chapters. I felt like the characters were interesting and both narrators did a good job. I like the development of the characters but found a few things to be far off and there was far too much time on the court evidence (though I understand the point of it just felt like it was three chapters too much. Pretty far-fetched about letting a suburban mom go along at the end but overall, I’d say it was worth the listen.

What did you love best about What She Left Behind?

Took a bit to get into the story but after a few chapters (only really kept going as the narrator was interesting), it got pretty good. The author blends the two story lines together well!

I really like the plot to Hamilton's book however as I said in last review, the sexual descrpitions are getting to be boring. The first 2 hours of this book was between Merry (main character) and Mistral--regardless, I will continue to listen as the author does keep the listeners attention.

Well-it was good to have this storyline close-at least for now. The characters became to repetitive and the story line just a bit dull. The descriptions of events were generally the same from the author's previous books and the over all concepts; though interesting at first-have been overdone.

Will be interested to see what else the author can write about as she uses the flow of words well, adds in humor when needed and leaves enough information for the listener to wonder what will happen next.

This was the second book by this author that I have listened too and though overall I have to say the storyline is completely outrageous and sort of silly-it is interesting in a voyeuristic kind of way. Seriously. I do not believe that it would be possible for someone to have as much "passion"; as the main character is supposed to have and admit I am compelled at least little to see if she does become with child and if so-will she know of the father is. So yes, despite only a 3 star rating, I will be getting the next book-purely to satisfy the above questions.
