Relative Fortunes audiobook cover art

My "review".

Overall
5 out of 5 stars

I've realized I don't know how to write a proper review, I can just tell you what I do and don't like. I really liked this book The mystery is secondary to the character development. I found them to be complex and relationships a bit fuzzy at times, but enjoyable at the same time. If you are in the mood for a real mystery , this might not be for you. If ,however , you just want a good read I think this will be perfect.

As usual, this book was fun to listen to. Her characters are lovably flawed and do things that make you smile or laugh. The plot is simple and relaxing. You pretty much know what’s going to happen, but have to keep listening anyway. Recommend to anyone who wants to listen to a happy book.

This book is perfect for children and adults. It is beautifully read and uplifting for all. It gently teaches a lesson in caring and friendship. The main characters are mischievous and fun. The narrator is one of the best, but the story is one that would be perfect for a parent and children to share reading. I would highly recommend it to everyone.

The story kept me interested, but not as much as her later ones. I started listening at a later books in this series so while the reader for this one was good, she was different than the one I was used to and made it a little harder to “see” the characters. I was quite happy to learn about the couple’s beginning relationship.

The beginning lagged a bit, but the suspense builds nicely. I enjoyed the main characters and their developing relationship: note that one of them is a dog.
The story flows well and had me spending most of a day listening.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. When I started listening I didn’t think I would, but the characters are well defined and relatable.. The story is confusing at times, but fairly well explained along the way; there are some secrets left undisclosed and a part of me hopes that that is to lead to a sequel.

I enjoyed listening to this book. The characters are well defined and likable. There are lots of surprises, and situations that make you wonder. I didn’t figure out who was behind it until the author wanted me to. The reader is good and has a pleasant voice.

This series is well written with good character development and great narration. The plots are varied and twist in new ways. Though set in the future, it is a subtle distinction and not focused on.
I enjoyed this story as I have all of them. I found myself searching for clues and marveling when they were presented.

The story is good with lots of misdirection and I don’t think you will guess the killer much before the cops and the “survivor” do.
The reader is good with everything but voice changes, making it difficult to know who is speaking, but it didn’t spoil anything for me.

I really enjoyed this story. The narrator is very good and I love the Irish accent. She does a great job differentiating the characters. I would like reading another story using the main detectives.
