the author borrows various writing styles and butchers them all. the character and story are not engaging.

the narrator was OK, but the recording quality was TERRIBLE! I want a refund.

this book could have been 80% shorter. too much repetition. worse, whenever you get excited about an idea or scientific implementation, the author explains how it's not statistically valid or has been disproven. I understand the caveats, but it doesn't make for a great story.

perfect narration. island is the culmination of Huxleys exploration into life, love and psychedelics. more of a dialogue than a plot, it is gripping and eye opening.
