I'm a big Shadowrun fan, so I'm thrilled to find an audio book from this fun universe. Great mix of cyberpunk and fantasy, and a good story. The narrator did a fantastic job with the voices, and the vocal augmentation that was done for radio chatter was very well done. GIVE US MORE SHADOWRUN!!!!

I was a wrestling fan as a kid, left it behind, then kept up with, but didn’t watch, the implosion of WCW. I found myself pretty hooked on this book. I laughed, I cringed, and was actually frustrated at the sheer egotism and stupidity that tanked a company that had every opportunity to succeed, and would still be here if it only managed to not screw up too badly. The narrator, co-author Bryan Alvarez, does a great job here. I can almost feel the frustration and, at times, bewilderment, in his voice when the death spiral begins. This book gives you a well documented account of the shady stupidity that was WCW. I highly recommend this book.

Would you listen to Charles Paris: A Decent Interval again? Why?

Yes!! Great acting from the entire cast and fantastic production values overall. The stories are just the right mix of drama/mystery and humor.

Did the plot keep you on the edge of your seat? How?

Yes. Another clever plot (and you gotta love the acknowledgement that trouble follows Charles wherever he goes).

Which character – as performed by Bill Nighy – was your favorite?

You gotta love Charles Paris. Bill Nighy plays the aging alcoholic actor/ladies man turned amateur sleuth just right, in my opinion. He's the poor man's Poirot!!

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

No extreme reactions. It's a light mystery with just the right mix of drama and humor.

Any additional comments?

I own every episode of this series. I've listened to each episode multiple times (great for background at work). I hope the series continues!!!

What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?

As stated by previous reviewers, even out the sound. Muffled and muted actors combined with obnoxiously loud and cringe inducing "space age" sound effects make this production an excercise in frustration at times...

Would you recommend The Foundation Trilogy (Dramatized) to your friends? Why or why not?

I actually liked the content. Pretty entertaining, but I could not recommend it due to the jarring interludes...

What did you like about the performance? What did you dislike?

Liked the overall acting, hated the sound quality of the voices and the annoying interlude sound effects.

What character would you cut from The Foundation Trilogy (Dramatized)?

the "space age" sound effects. keep everything else.

Any additional comments?

Any additional comments?

If you love the Discworld novels, especially those that involve the Ankh-Morpork City Watch, this is a no-brainer. It is very Vimes centric, but that ain't a bad thing. I love how Mr. Pratchett fleshes out what was essentially a throw-away species rarely mentioned in some of his other books. Also, Sam Vimes rules. 'Nuff said.
