This was a good ok until the end. Both of the male/female relationships felt rushed and were not developed. That is my main complaint. It’s almost like she wanted to finish the book quickly at the end. Would not recommend.

Country music god Beau Mason has just announced his retirement from the business at age 30, and I've just scored the interview of a lifetime. My network is flying me to Kentucky for his final interview, and at his request I'll be spending a few days with him at his ranch. I should be thrilled. But I'm not. Beau and I have a history, and I haven't seen him since he obliterated my heart at the tender age of 18.

I really liked this book all the way through. The build up towards the end was great but then I found myself being disappointed in the ending. It was anti-climactic. I was waiting for things to happen but they never did.....disappointed.

He's silent - but his touch speaks louder than words. At first sight, Savannah is drawn to the harsh appeal of a man who refuses to talk to her. Keenan's hard stare is arrogant and unapologetic. The quirk of his sensuous lips is cocky and in control.

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

I liked the story but I would recommend reading it and not listening to the audible narrarator.

How did the narrator detract from the book?

She sounded like a newscaster, she had this thing that she did at the end of every sentence and it was very distracting from the story. Whenever she did the woman's voice, she sounded like she was crying. It was not good. Very dettached from the character.

One look, one smile, and I didn't stand a chance. The instant my eyes landed on Presley Chambers, I was a goner. She was a force of nature that turned my world upside down. Sweet, sassy, and sexy as hell, she brought me to my knees. But she isn't just any woman, she's a gift, she's a goddess, she's my disease...and I'll fight like hell to erase her fears. Sometimes fate has other plans. Now our future is in her hands.

I keep my two worlds separate. At work, I'm King of Wall Street. The heaviest hitters in Manhattan come to me to make money. They do whatever I say because I'm always right. I'm shrewd. Exacting. Some say ruthless. At home, I'm a single dad trying to keep his 14-year-old daughter a kid for as long as possible. If my daughter does what I say, somewhere there's a snowball surviving in hell. And nothing I say is ever right.

I have enjoyed A.L. Jackson's books in the last but this was a huge disappointment. Weak relationship and the narration was horrible!! His child's voice was a joke and brought me right out of the story.
