I force myself to look at the face in the photo, into her slightly smudged features, and I can't bring myself to move. Olivia Shaw could be my mirror image, rewound to 13 years ago. I've spent a long time peering into the faces of girls on missing posters, wondering which one replaced me in that basement. But they were never quite the right age, with the right look, in the right circumstances. Until Olivia Shaw, missing for one week tomorrow.

I read a few of the reviews that said this book started off slow but then got really good so that is why I decided to download it. It starts off so slow that at chapter 15 (almost halfway through the book) I had to stop listening to it. It wasn’t getting any better. the book was not enjoyable for me at all. The main character is not likable In fact none of them are.

I really enjoyed this book. The characters were all interesting, there weren't any slow parts and I loved the way the book unfolded. The narrators were excellent. I'm looking forward to reading more from this author.

Meet Ove. He's a curmudgeon - the kind of man who points at people he dislikes as if they were burglars caught outside his bedroom window. He has staunch principles, strict routines, and a short fuse. People call him "the bitter neighbor from hell". But behind the cranky exterior there is a story and a sadness.

I usually tend to enjoy mysteries or thrillers but because there were so many reviews on this book I decided to give it a listed. The narrator and story were excellent. Take a chance on this book, you won't regret it.

A mix of Buffy and Clueless

Overall
3 out of 5 stars

This book series is a fun light read. It makes me laugh and reminds me of the Buffy the Vampire Slayer original movie and the Clueless movie- both of which I liked and laughed at. It's not too deep, but if you want a fun series to read I would suggest this one- the characters are all very likable and the narrator is very good.

About three things I was certain. First, Edward was a vampire. Second, there was a part of him, and I didn't know how dominant that part might be, that thirsted for my blood. And third, I was unconditionally and irrevocably in love with him.

I saw Twilight in the theater and liked it so I thought I would give the book a try. I couldn't quite understand how they were so passionately in love when I saw the movie and I knew the book would give me more details. I was addicted to it, finding myself staying up late night and putting on in the car as much as possible. I really enjoyed it. I ended up seeing the movie again after reading listening to the book. I found that the movie "falling in love" made more sense to me now that I knew what they were thinking. I ended up listening to the next 3 books just to get my "fix" now I'm sad it's over and want more =)
