Words like unnatural and impure started the whispers. From the very beginning, Ivy Blackwood was different. She was only a child when she was accused of setting the fire, one she passively watched engulf the small house she had called home. Her fingertips burned, and her hair singed. Some who watched her crossed themselves, convinced she was soulless for she showed no emotion at all. Calm and dispassionate, even when the screaming started that quickly turned to bellows of agony before dying into nothing but the roaring of the fire.

L.A. Fiore has done it again and written another hit. This story had depth and a well developed plot and I found it hard to put down. I loved the paranormal aspects of the book and the chosen location for the story to unfold. Things are not quite what they seem in the beginning. And as Ivy's story is slowly revealed so are lots of forgotten secrets. I love how she was so child like but an adult exploring New Orleans for the first time. I so look forward to more from this series and more secrets to come out. Aaron Shedlock and Tracy Marks both do a fantastic job on the narration of the story and really bring it to life.

Kathleen is expecting a sweet engagement dinner, but instead Dominic tells her he wants his grandmother to move in and he's heading out to get her. I think this would throw any for a loop. Although it is handled bad on both sides the story is fun and I love the grandmother and her story. Great job on the narration.

Some object in the town because she is single, but in the end she ends up with the kids. Although this is a series each of these books can be read as a standalone. Pearl's parents send her off as a mail order bride after loosing everything. On the last leg of her journey Pearl meets a new friend that teaches her she can make her own way in the world and she does not have to answer to anyone but herself. The story is super fun as you hear about Pearl coming into the person she really wants to be and how independent she becomes in a time when women were not so independent. I love the bit of mystery woven into this one and the legend or lure told about it! Great job on the narration and really bringing the story to life.

But Jeddediah is suspicious of everyone and is searching for someone making illegal dumps in the water. The two are sort of forced together as is trying to find out if she is involved. The story is well written and keeps you involved. I disliked Skye's ability to stand up for herself in the situation in the cabin, and her allowing him to think it was somewhat ok how he treated her. I know love will forgive a lot, but sometimes or somethings are unforgivable and he should have been taught his own lesson. The narrator did a nice job on this.

Turning down his marriage proposal left Sierra updating her resume and needing a change of scenery. Returning to the small football-loving town located in view of the Blue Ridge Parkway is definitely a change of scenery from the sultry heat and water sport enthusiast city of Tampa.

This story set is action packed with great sense of humor. The characters are well developed and just a riot! I think Damian side kick/butler "the Frenchman" steals the show! I love the time period and all the cool inspector gadget/007 toys. Damian can't seem to stay out of trouble he seems to go from one bad incident to another which will keep you on your toes and not wanting to put the book down. Fun listen and Eric Bryan Moore does an amazing job with his narration and the different characters. I can still hear the professor in book 2 laughing and saying that will goose ya.

Then some thing go a little sideways when Rafe's dad gets out of jail. The story is full of love and adventure. It's also full of food and I must say L.A. Fiore does a fantastic job with all the descriptions in the story. The little details like the descriptions of the food and the remodel make you feel like you were in the story. And it defiantly make you hungry! I'm waiting on the companion cook book! I also love the reference to Elijah Mikaelson. The narration was spot on and just as amazing as the story.
