Winifred Page and her corgi, Watson, move to Estes Park to hit the Reset button on life. Fred is about to open her dream bookshop, and the only challenges she anticipates are adjusting to small-town life, tourists, and living close to her lovable mother, Phyllis, and hippie stepfather, Barry. When Fred steps into her soon-to-be-bookshop for the first time, she expects dust bunnies and spiders...not the dead body in the upstairs kitchen.

Fred is starting her personal and professional life over. So she's moving to her moms hometown and starting a new business. Only finding a dead body in your new building is not a good way to start over. The characters in the book are quite unique and bring a fun element to the story. The story moves at a good pace and will keep you guessing until the end. And the killer is really quite nuts! Nice job on the narration.

After Callie's father passes away, the shocks and changes keep coming her way. She finds out he never sold the house her mother disappeared from. Although she remembers very little about her mother, her fathers final wish was for them to get closure. So he adds a stipulation to his will that she must dig into the old case. Moving back in her old home she starts to remember little things. And the closer she gets to the truth, the more danger she could be in. She has no idea who to trust and with many secrets rolling around it gets a bit crazy. Fun mystery, you will suspect everyone before its over and it has a surprise ending! The narrator did a nice job!

Max is a street dog, but he may have not always been. Liz's son leaves for his new job assignment in the middle east, and she is in need of something to keep her occupied, besides worrying of course. So she promises him she will volunteer at the animal shelter. This is where she ends up meeting max and he is having nothing to do with pretty much anyone. The story moves at a good pace and is just a sweet heartfelt story. I loved how Al got a HEA as well. Really fun story. Wendy Rich Stetson does an amazing job on the narration.

Making people remember things and checking alibis from that long ago does not make this case easy. But sticking it out is what she does best. The story is fun yet sad. Nice job on the narration.

Julia is on kind of a self/family discover after her fathers tragic death. The book has great details and wonderful descriptions of Tuscany. I liked the descriptions of the village and the realistic villagers. I thought the book would have more action/adventure but it was more self discovery. I will assume the next book will perhaps have more adventures. The story has a lot of characters and I found it challenging to keep up in the beginning. I think most of the book would have been easier to follow and more enjoyable in book format. It also jumps back and forth from the past to present which can get confusing. The book is very long and I found it difficult to stay focused. This is my first by both author and narrator and I would try them both agin. I enjoyed the narration and her different accents were nice. I personally did not think her male characters stood out though. She kept a great pace in the book moving it along. I was given this audio per my request in exchange for an honest review.
