As the daughter of a duke, Lady Annalise Palmer should be living a charmed life. But appearances can be deceiving - her father's ensured that her entire life has been filled with heartache and hardship. Happiness is an elusive emotion, and love is nonexistent. She has no reason to believe she’ll find either. Ryan Simms, the marquess of Cinderbury, has been alone nearly his whole life. After his father died, he was abandoned by his grandfather and left in the care of his wicked stepmother. From a young age, he learned not to trust a lady and never to fall in love, especially.

This is such a sweet and sad story. Annalise and Ryan were such tortured souls growing up with cruel guardians. They have a spark from the moment they meet. Only she knows her father will not allow her to be with him. But sometimes fate has other things in store for us! This story was really good with some very likable and some not so likable characters. I loved Annalise's grandmother!

Jack's so excited that the new neighbors are moving in hoping for a little boy to play with. But then he meets April it doesn't even matter she's not a boy. He knows even then that she is the one. The story follows them through falling in love and high school where her family moves and he breaks her heat. Fast forward....They are both grown and she refuses to let him back in. They both do things that they do that will so annoy you, but overall the story is a good one. The narration by Aaron Shedlock and Mackenzie Cartwright is just spot on and really adds to the story.

I love how everyone welcomes her in and she start to gain an extended family. Elizabeth Kelly does a nice job with the narration make you feel as if you are in that time and area!

I was a bit hesitant about the book because of the Ice Fishing, really not my thing, but I must say I am so glad I took the plunge with a friends urging. This book is fun, funny and so refreshing. Maggie can be such a mess, that you feel you know her or are her. Most of us just pretend to have it together, so seeing the main character makes her so much more relate-able. Sam has a heart of gold and has to be the most patient man in the world. The narration by Erin Mallon & Teddy Hamilton is spot on and brings the book to a whole new level. Great job!

Each of the characters is unique with their own unique skills. DC Cole does a fantastic job with the narration on this book and really brings it to life.
