Any additional comments?

I read some comments that this book lost readers in the middle and I agree that it started to lose my interest a little but it was worth sticking through to the end. It was my first graphic novel turned audio book and I was impressed. They did a terrific job keeping the story moving and there was never any question which character was who. It was definitely a book I wanted to listen too all at once. And the story was great. Classic horror/ghost story/evil vs. good.

This was book 2 of the series and I can't wait to start the 3rd. The writer and narrator do a wonderful job in conveying the history in an attention grabbing manner.

What made the experience of listening to Don't Stand So Close the most enjoyable?

Going from past to present and it being told from the views of the different characters.

Did the plot keep you on the edge of your seat? How?

Most of the time. It kept me guessing by only revealing a little bit at a time from different characters. Although I did guess the basic plot it was still enjoyable because of the way it was written.

Any additional comments?

The subject matter was a little dark and could be upsetting to some. The author did a good job of only giving the details that were needed without being overly graphic during the assault scenes.

What other book might you compare Leaving Time to and why?

I haven't read/listened to anything like this one. I won't spoil the ending but it is amazingly written and the twists are great. It's a mystery, a thriller, a suspense, and so much more.

What does the narrators bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

They really help you connect with the characters. I would definitely prefer this as an audio book to regular book.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

This book gripped me from the beginning. And yes I did cry for the elephants.

Any additional comments?

A must read for everyone. I thought it was a great book throughout then the ending made me love it even more. An audible staff member recommended this book and I am very glad I listened. Thank you!

What did you like best about this story?

I love the way the author explains some of the witchcraft leaving enough to the imagination. I also loved the description of Savannah. I lived there for a few years and it was a wonderful city and very quirky. The author nailed it.

Any additional comments?

If you like stories about Witchcraft or Savannah or both then this a must read.

Any additional comments?

Although this is biographical and historical it is extremely well written and entertaining while also being very inormative. It is amazing how different midwifery and obstetrics was then and how the environment plays such an important role in our lives. I can't wait to listen to the other "Call the Midwife" books. Narration was excellent too.

I can't wait for another book by Hallie Ephron on Audible. This was an excellent suspense/mystery with great plot twists. A must listen. The only down side is I finished so quickly.

Would you listen to Pines again? Why?

Yes - I bouth this book as a daily deal not expecting too much but was pleasantly surprised when I finished that I fell in love the story and all the characters. Then I discovered it was series - bonus! I would listen again becuase I would like to see what I missed the first time that would add to the other books.

Any additional comments?

Great suspense/drama/mystery with a wonderful plot twist at the end. And the bonus is it's a series. All 3 books are great - hoping for #4.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes - it was an easy listen but don't let that distract you from listening to this book. It was very suspensful and kept me on the edge of my seat. I love the narrator and this series.

Any additional comments?

Just as good as book 1. It leads well to book 3 without leaving the reader hanging too much. Once I finish this series I would definitely read more from Blake Crouch.
